IT IS IN GREAT CONDITION FOR ITS AGE. IT IS A FACTORY SIX CYLINDER WITH AUTOMATIC. SOMEONE CHANGED THE MOTOR AND TRANNY YEARS AGO WITH A 240 SIX AND A FMX AUTOMATIC. RUNS SO SMOOTH YOU CANT HARDLY HEAR IT RUNNING. I PUT NEW PLUGS, WIRES, CAP, ROTOR, POINTS, CONDESOR, FUEL PUMP, AND CARB ON IT. I ALSO CHANGE OIL PUT A GAS TANK OUT OF ANOTER TRUCK THAT WAS REAL NICE AND REPLACE ALL FUEL LINES. HAS MANY NEW BRAKE COMPONENTS AND STOPS VERY NICE. NEW IGNITION SWITCH AND TUMBLER WITH KEYS. I ALSO REPLACED VOLTAGE REGULATER AND IT IS CHARGING FINE. ALL BLINKERS, TURN SIGNALS AND HEADLIGHTS ARE WORKING. IT HAS NEW HEADLIGHTS IN IT. CHANGED THE OIL AND FILTER. HAS VERY LITTLE RUST JUST A NICE SURVIVOR. THE PATINA OF THE PAINT IS KILLER AND IT HAS A BAD TO THE BONE CUSTOM SEAT THAT WAS DONE A LONG TIME AGO. HAVE NOT TRIED WINDSHIELD WIPERS. This woman owns the first Ford Mustang sold in the US
Wed, 11 Dec 2013As Ford celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Mustang with the unveiling of the all-new sixth-gen design, one Chicago women can lay claim to a piece of Mustang history. According to CBS Chicago, Gail Wise was the first person in the US to buy a Mustang in 1964, and she did so two days before the car was even unveiled to the public.
Wise, then a 22-year-old teacher, went into the Chicago Ford dealership wanting to buy a convertible, and a salesperson ushered her over to car covered by a tarp. That car was a baby blue Mustang convertible, which she still owns today - along with the documentation. After sitting for almost 30 years and undergoing a full restoration, the car now looks to be in original condition. The report says that this $3,400 purchase could be worth anywhere between $100,000 and $250,000. While this worked out well for Mrs. Wise, we wouldn't recommend anyone going into a dark, back room of a dealership hoping to get a jump on the purchase of a 2015 Mustang.

Ford C-Max, Fusion hybrids subject of MPG lawsuit in California
Fri, 01 Mar 2013A California lawsuit over the fuel economy claims for the 2013 Ford C-Max was first reported back in December. Based on the numerous reports we've heard of disgruntled owners failing to get their car's EPA fuel economy ratings on the C-Max and 2013 Fusion Hybrid, we suspected there would be more to this story. The Detroit News is reporting that two California law firms are combining their lawsuits against Ford on this matter for "false and misleading" claims.
The article states that there are hundreds of C-Max and Fusion Hybrid owners who have joined the lawsuit, but the issue isn't limited to customers. In December, Consumer Reports extensively tested both the Fusion Hybrid and C-Max and found that both hybrids performed significantly worse than their EPA claims. This all comes just a few months after Hyundai and Kia took the unprecedented step of lowering the fuel economy ratings for all of their 2012 and 2013 model-year vehicles.
Ford will build Hackmobile out of Transit Connect Wagon
Fri, 27 Dec 2013What you see in the above image is a rendering of the Hackmobile Transit Connect Wagon. What is that? It's a "mobile fabrication and hacking unit" that includes tools for metal- and woodworking, 3D and electronics fabrication, a three-axis CNC machine called "The Fabber," a video projector and screen, an air compressor, an 84x48-inch work surface that folds out like a Murphy bed and oh so much more. When not in use, all of the implements fold neatly into the back of Ford's award-winning van.
But perhaps the more important question is why is that? Because Make Magazine held an Ultimate Maker Vehicle Challenge in conjunction with Ford in which ten teams created were charged with creating "the ultimate Ford Transit Connect Wagon for the do-it-yourself enthusiast." Team Twin Cities Maker won the competition with the Hackmobile, and in addition to winning $10,000, Ford has declared it's actually going to build the thing - which is great, because if they can actually engineer a road-legal Hackmobile Transit Connect Wagon as envisioned, the inevitable A-Team movie reboot might need to think about including it.
Check out the video below for a cheeky walk-through of the Hackmobile, and get all the particulars in the press release below that.
