Up for sale is this BEAUTIFUL 1954 Ford Pickup that was professionally built . This truck is in GREAT condition, and is a AWESOME driver.
First they started with rust free western sheet metal, then there is a custom fabricated bed and tailgate. The hood has been modified to open forward giving this truck a nice custom feature that not many have. The paint has a real nice shine that will get compliments where ever you go. The floor of the bed has been coated with urethane bed liner. To finish the back of the truck off there is a custom built hard tonneau cover. Both the front and rear bumpers are stainless steel for that everlasting shine.
The body sits on the original chassis that was modified with a 1970 Camaro front subframe, that includes both power steering and brakes. Out back a 12 bolt posi from a Chevelle was installed retaining the factory four link with custom brackets welded to the frame. There is a pair of coil over shocks that support the rear and give this truck a really nice smooth ride.
For motivation there is a freshly rebuilt 350ci small block Chevy with about 2000 miles on it since the rebuild. Mated behind the motor is a turbo 400 that shifts perfectly, the transmission also has a frame mounted transmission cooler with brand new steel braided lines.
Out front there is a large aluminum radiator to keep this beauty cool no mater what the weather is like.
All four corners have Chevy rally wheels with rings and caps and mounted on them are BF Goodrich tires with great tread on them. The rear tires are 285/70/15 and the front are 225/70/15 giving the truck a nice stances that screams hot rod.
With its dual exhaust exiting out the sides it has a nice rumble without being to loud.
The interior is nicely redone and in good condition. It has a set of aftermarket gauges mounted in the factory cluster panel and a am/fm radio mounted in the dash. It has a GM steering column that has tilt feature making it enjoyable to drive for all size people along with its power seat. The windshield wipers have been converted to electric and the heater has been replaced which works really well . There is a underdash A/C unit mounted however it is not hooked up, but with a few parts and a little time this unit could be blowing cold air.
This truck has just been gone through front to back top to bottom and has a new PA inspection. This truck is ready to drive anywhere.
This truck has been driven so it does have a few chips here. There is also a small tear in the driver side seat by the power seat switch and a small stain in the carpet on the passengers side under the floor mat.
We are selling this for one of our customers who has to many cars and not enough time. We are a full service rod and custom shop and have been servicing this truck for many years. Please check out our website www.trickworksllc.com or our facebook page.

Ford of Europe celebrates Mondeo's 20th anniversary
Wed, 25 Sep 2013Ford's European operations are celebrating a milestone of sorts as the Mondeo, the Blue Oval's bread-and-butter D-segment sedan in the old country, celebrates its 20th anniversary. The mid-sizer, which was sold in the US for a short time as the Contour, has been a far more popular vehicle in Europe - even receiving regular praise from one Jeremy Clarkson.
Narrated by Cockney actor Ray Winstone, the video goes through the Mondeo's years and how it's evolved from 1993 to the as-yet-unreleased fifth-generation model, which is essentially the same as the Ford Fusion that's sold in America. Take a look below for the full video from Ford of Europe.
Which is more fuel efficient, driving with a pickup's tailgate up or down?
Tue, 26 Aug 2014
Thanks to the smoke wand in the wind tunnel, you can actually see the difference in our video.
Should you drive with your pickup truck's tailgate up or down? It's an age-old controversy that's divided drivers for decades. Traditionalists will swear you should leave the tailgate down. Makes sense, right? It would seem to let the air flow more cleanly over the body and through the bed. But there's also a school of thought that argues trucks are designed to look and operate in a specific manner, and modern design techniques can help channel the airflow properly. So don't mess with all of that: Leave the tailgate up.
Ford reveals concept trucks that ultimately became Atlas
Wed, 03 Apr 2013The Ford Atlas Concept was one of the quiet success stories of the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, and now Ford has given us a quick glimpse as to how that creation came to be. Designers actually combined two early sketches to build the Atlas. One, called the Bullet Train, is a futuristic, aerodynamic creation, while the other, aptly named the Locomotive, features the squared off proportions we're familiar with.
Once designers settled on the truck's proportions, they began nailing down exactly which attributes they wanted the final design to have. The Concept's notched windshield originated as a forked glass roof that seamlessly transitioned into the windscreen.
Likewise, designers wanted to fit the truck's tailgate with a storage compartment for tools and a first aid kit, but settled on the dual-purpose step/cargo cradle. Interestingly enough, the concept's active aero shutter wheels actually originated in some of the earliest sketches. Check out the photos and slides here for a closer look.
