2008 Ford Expedition El Limited 4x4 With 2.5 Yrs Of Ford Premium Care Warranty! on 2040-cars
Adrian, Michigan, United States
We are selling our Expedition EL because we need more room. Yes, more room than an EL means we have a LOT of kids. This vehicle is great with every option you could get and then some. Great color combination as you can see in the pics. I'll do my best to list them all here:
Power everything...seats, running boards, moon roof, lift gate. Heated and cooled seats. Split entertainment package with DVD, allowing radio up front while kiddos use wireless headsets to listen to the movie. Sirius Sat Radio and Factor Nav. Factory Installed Backup Camera. Middle buckets, allowing easier access to rear. Hitch with trailer brake adapter. Ford factory installed remote start. Zero rust, though it does have a small amount of paint bubbling on the rear gate. Ford thought it was a good idea to make this aluminum, and while it can't rust, the paint is known to not stick all that well. Not bad or really visible 10 feet away, but I showed it in the pics. 4wd works perfectly, transmission shifts great. The most important and rare feature for this truck is the Ford Premium Care Warranty and TireCare that comes with it. We paid an additional $3,000 for this, assuming we'd keep it through the term. Then the next kid came along, and well, here we are. Premium Care covers everything imaginable and lasts till 122411 miles or Feb of 2017. Tire Care is unlimited mileage till Feb of 2020. I wouldn't due the coverages justice in describing them, so please look on ford.com for a description. Basically anything that can possibly happen will be covered. $75 transfer fee for the warranty, which can be done at your Ford dealer of choice. Fine to have the vehicle shipped and I will assist in loading it and seeing it off, but please work those details out yourself! Please send me an email if you have any questions. Thanks! |

Ford opens the doors on its Swedish rally skunkworks
Fri, 19 Sep 2014It's always amazing to see how different kinds of racecars are made. Formula One racers are often constructed in modern architectural marvels that hint at some of the cutting-edge technology going into the racing. Conversely, rallying is all about sliding around on a varied course as fast as possible, but it often leaves a vehicle caked in mud. So it makes some sense Olsbergs MSE, or simply (OMSE) rally car shop in Nynashamn, Sweden, shows technological sophistication in a more down-to-earth setting. It builds Ford Fiesta ST racers for Global Rallycross there, and this new video gives viewers a tour through the work.
Former rally driver Andreas Eriksson runs OMSE. These days instead of racing, he and the company's 46 employees are building Ford racers from scratch. A ton of work goes into constructing each one, and according to Eriksson, it takes 400 hours to complete each body. At times, things are so busy that some of the technicians live in the shop in apartments that are on premises. There's even a restaurant to keep them fed. Sadly the dyno room is empty during this visit, though.
By the time OMSE is done, a rallycross car might resemble a Fiesta ST on the outside, but as you see in the video, it's a completely different beast underneath. Check out the work it takes to build one of them, and scroll down to read more about it in the official release.
A tribute to William Clay Ford
Tue, 11 Mar 2014The passing of William Clay Ford has been a big event for the company he spent most of his life helping run. Ford spent 57 years working for his family's company. Considering the Blue Oval has been around for over 100 years, WCF's passing is the end of an era for the Dearborn-based manufacturer.
Ford's YouTube channel has issued a short memorial video highlighting the life of the longest-lived grandson of company founder Henry Ford. It follows William Clay from his time as a boy, showing him alongside his grandfather, through his younger years, and into his twilight, as the patriarch of the Ford family.
Take a look below for this touching memorial video on William Clay Ford.
Former Ford CEO Mulally won't run for president
Mon, 15 Sep 2014Alan Mulally will not be following his successful term as president and CEO of Ford Motor Company with a run at an even bigger presidency. Rumors that the 68-year-old former Boeing exec would make a run at the White House sprouted after his apparent dodging of a reporter's questions about a potential candidacy during a forum in Indianapolis.
"I really think it's important that we all pull together. We really need to pull together around a compelling vision for our country and a comprehensive strategy to do it and work together. We really need to do it," Mulally said at the conference, according to The Detroit News.
He's since clarified by saying, "[I'm] honored at the suggestion, but that is not a role I am considering."
