Staten Island, New York, United States

I AM SELLING MY BEAUTIFUL 2008 EXPEDITION. THIS TRUCK IS LOADED WITH A MOONROOF, IN-DASH NAVIGATION, SATELLITE RADIO, REAR ENTERTAINMENT PACKAGE, DUAL FRONT CLIMATE CONTROL, REAR CLIMATE CONTROL, TWO TONE LEATHER SEATS, BACK-UP WARNING SYSTEM.POWER REMOTE REAR TAILGATE. POWER MEMORY DRIVERS SEAT, REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY, KEYLESS KEYPAD ENTRY ETC.   ESSENTIALLY EVERY POSSIBLE AMENITIY AVAILABLE FOR THIS MODEL.

THE TIRES AND WHEELS ARE BRAND NEW WITH LESS THAN 100 MILES ON THEM. I PURCHASED THESE WHEELS AND TIRES FROM THE LOCAL FORD DEALER. THEY WERE REMOVED FROM A BRAND NEW TRUCK BEING UPGRADED TO 20 INCH WHEELS. LIST PRICE ON THESE WHEELS AND TIRES THROUGH FORD IS JUST A BIT MORE THAN $2400.

I FOLLOWED THIS TRUCK THROUGH THE INSURANCE COMPANY AUCTION PROCESS.  IT WAS TAKEN FROM A FRIEND OF MINE, BY HIS INSURANCE COMPANY AFTER HURRICANE SANDY. IT ALWAYS RAN AND DROVE THROUGHOUT THE STORM AND AFTERWARDS. WHICH IS WHY I BOUGHT IT FOR MYSELF. I KNEW WHAT PRATICALLY NO ONE ELSE DID. I KNEW IT WAS A GOOD TRUCK, UNAFFECTED BY THE STORM. HIS INSURANCE COMPANY TOTALLED IT. BUT HE DROVE IT RIGHT THROUGH TO FEBRUAURY BEFORE HE TURNED IT IN.

I HAVE BEEN DRIVING IT MYSELF SINCE LAST YEAR. REGISTERED AND TITLED TO ME, PERSONALLY. IT TOOK ME THROUGH ONE OF THE WORST WINTERS NEW YORK HAS SEEN IN MY RECENT MEMORY. I NEEDED A RELIABLE WAY TO GET TO MY JOB AS A FIREMAN IN BROOKLYN. I HAVE HAD ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS WITH THIS TRUCK AT ALL. IT LOOKS GREAT, AND RUNS AND DRIVES EVEN BETTER.   I HAVE NOW HAD IT DETAILED AND SERVICED TO BE ABSOLUTELY SPOTLESS AND READY TO SELL.

THIS TRUCK IS BEING SOLD WITH A NEW YORK REBUILT TITLE. I PAINSTAKENLY WENT THROUGH THIS TRUCK MYSELF. I HAVE ALL THE LATEST AND GREATEST FORD DIAGNOSTIC TOLLS, SUCH AS, SNAP-ON SOLIS, SBB2, ROTUNDA VCMII. I HAVE BEEN A FORD MECHANIC FOR NEARLY 35 YEARS NOW. THERE IS NOT REALLY MUCH I DONT KNOW, OR CANNOT FIX ON A FORD. AS YOU CAN SEE FROM MY FEEDBACK. I ONLY DEAL WITH FORD TRUCKS, AND MUSTANGS. AND ANYONE THAT BUYS FROM ME IS ALWAYS SATISFIED. USUALLY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED HOW MUCH NICER IT IS THAN THEY EXPECTED.

THIS TRUCK IS ALSO BEING SOLD WITH THE TITLE STATING NOT ACTUAL MILES. ALTHOUGH IT READS 63,000 MILES. THIS IS BECAUSE WHEN THE INSURANCE COMPANIES BUY BACK FLOOD CARS, THEY NEVER TURN THEM ON TO CHECK THE MILEAGE. SO THEY CANNOT ATTEST TO THE MILEAGE THEMSELVES. AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURES. THIS TRUCK HAS LESS THAN 65,000 MILES. BACKED UP BY CARFAX.

I HAVE INCLUDED A FEW PHOTOS OF THE VERY LITTLE DAMAGE ON THIS VEHICLE IN THE ITERREST OF FAIRNESS TO THE BUYER. YOU WILL NOTICE A PHOTO OF A SMALL CHIP ON THE REAR GATE WHERE ALMOST ALL THE EXPEDITONS HAVE THIS FACTORY DEFECT. ALSO THE CHIPS ON THE LOWER FRONT VALANCE. AND AN AREA OF THE RUG INSIDE THE LEFT REAR DOOR WHERE THERE WAS A STAIN THAT WAS SCRUBBED SO HARD THAT IT SLIGHTLY DAMAGED THE CARPET. ( PLEASE SEE PICTURES)

THIS TRUCK IS BEING SOLD NO RESERVE AND NO HOLDING BACK. TOP BIDDER WINS! AS WITH ALL MY AUCTIONS. (CHECK MY IMPECCABLE FEEDBACK) I WILL NOT COMPROMISE MY E-BAY INTEGRITY TO STOP THE SALE FOR ANY OFFER. (PLEASE DONT ASK) MY PROMISE TO YOU IS THAT YOU WILL GET A SUPER NICE TRUCK AT A GREAT PRICE. I WILL WORK WITH YOU ON SHIPPING. DELIVERING IT TO YOUR SHIPPER. AND HELPING YOU ORGANIZE THE WHOLE PROCESS.

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS AT ALL, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CALL ME- KEITH 646-226 5550. I WOULD LOVE THE OPPOTUNITY TO BRAGG ON THIS GREAT MACHINE! OR EVEN BETTER, PLEASE COME AND VISIT IT BEFORE THE AUCTION SO YOU CAN GET TO KNOW IT FOR YOURSELF.

THANK YOU, AND GOOD LUCK BIDDING!! KT.

JUST TO CLARIFY... THIS TRUCK WAS ALREADY N.Y. STATE INSPECTED, AND ISSUED A REBUILT TITLE. IT CAN BE REGISTERED IN ANY STATE WITHOUT FURTHER DELAY.

eBay Find of the Day: 1987 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe is showroom fresh

Tue, 27 Aug 2013

There's an ultra-rare Ford Thunderbird for sale on eBay, although it's not quite the T-Bird you're probably thinking. This is a 1987 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe, complete with a five-speed manual transmission and just a shade over 13,000 miles on the clock. The condition is said to be mint, and judging by the interior and exterior pictures, we're inclined to believe the seller. The paint is glossy and the interior looks showroom new, while the underbody is stunningly clean for a 36-year-old car.
Underhood sits a 2.3-liter, intercooled and turbocharged four-cylinder (also found in the Mustang SVO) that was producing 190 horsepower when it left the factory. Inside, the five-speed manual transmission adds to the car's rarity. The vehicle's sole owner has been as immaculate with the paperwork as he has with the rest of the car - it's all there, including brochures and other product material.
The eBay auction ends tomorrow at midnight (9:00 PM if you're on America's west coast). Bidding has reached $10,200, and there's still plenty of time to get in on this future classic. The vehicle is located in Millstone Township, NJ.

GM also sheds parts from its pickups to boost payload ratings

Thu, 31 Jul 2014

The row between Ford and Ram over who boasts the best-in-class tow rating for heavy duty pickups has revealed a number of things. Chief among them is a report that Ford removes items like the spare tire, jack, radio and center console from its vehicles in a bid to lower its base curb weight and therefore keep the truck's gross vehicle weight rating down.
For those that need a refresher, GVWR is the vehicle's curb weight plus its maximum payload. A lower GVWR allows Ford to station its F-450 among the so-called Class III pickups, despite the fact that internally, it has the makings of a more brutish Class IV truck.
Ford explains away these deletions, saying a customer could order their vehicle in such a manner. It has also come to light that Ford is not the only automaker to engage in such practices.

Ford opens the doors on its Swedish rally skunkworks

Fri, 19 Sep 2014

It's always amazing to see how different kinds of racecars are made. Formula One racers are often constructed in modern architectural marvels that hint at some of the cutting-edge technology going into the racing. Conversely, rallying is all about sliding around on a varied course as fast as possible, but it often leaves a vehicle caked in mud. So it makes some sense Olsbergs MSE, or simply (OMSE) rally car shop in Nynashamn, Sweden, shows technological sophistication in a more down-to-earth setting. It builds Ford Fiesta ST racers for Global Rallycross there, and this new video gives viewers a tour through the work.
Former rally driver Andreas Eriksson runs OMSE. These days instead of racing, he and the company's 46 employees are building Ford racers from scratch. A ton of work goes into constructing each one, and according to Eriksson, it takes 400 hours to complete each body. At times, things are so busy that some of the technicians live in the shop in apartments that are on premises. There's even a restaurant to keep them fed. Sadly the dyno room is empty during this visit, though.
By the time OMSE is done, a rallycross car might resemble a Fiesta ST on the outside, but as you see in the video, it's a completely different beast underneath. Check out the work it takes to build one of them, and scroll down to read more about it in the official release.
