THE ENGINE SOUNDS SUPER GOOD AND HAS A TON OF POWER, ALL THE GEARS GO IN FINE. THE PAINT JOB LOOKS GOOD FROM 5 FEET AWAY! IT'S SHINNY BUT HAS DENTS AND SCRATCHES, BUT IT GIVES IT CHARACTER. THIS VAN HAS A TRUE DUAL EXHAUST WITH PIPES COMING OUT FROM THE SIDE. IT DOES START, IT DOES MOVE FORWARD AND BACKWARD, AND STOPS, BUT HAS NEVER BEEN ON THE HIGHWAY OR A TRIP FURTHER THAT 3 BLOCKS. ITS NOT REGISTERED OR INSURED BUT DOES HAVE A CLEAN AND CLEAR TEXAS TITLE. ENGINE HAS BEEN CLEANED AND PAINTED AND ADDED SOME CHROME A FEW MONTHS AGO. TIRES ARE IN OK SHAPE, RIMS ARE NOT NEW THEY ARE TRUE VINTAGE RIMS. THIS VAN WAS BEING FIXED TO DRIVE TO CAR SHOWS, SWAP MEETS AND TO GO GET PARTS. Mustang driver proves wheels are overrated
Mon, 21 Apr 2014We don't need to tell you that there's something missing in the image above. What we do need to tell you is that this is not a picture of a parked car stranded on the highway. This is, rather, just one frame from video of that three-wheeled Mustang traveling down the highway at highway-appropriate speed.
We don't know where you'd have to be nor how badly you'd have to be there to go shooting down the freeway in a car with three wheels, but if the New Daily News is correct, that place is somewhere in Texas. The video's short, but you'll have plenty of time to shake your head at it by just scrolling down.
Mulally confirms he's not leaving Ford for Microsoft
Tue, 07 Jan 2014In recent months, rumors had been flying about Ford CEO Alan Mulally potentially leaving the company to take a position at Microsoft. Last we heard, Mulally was planning to stick around at Ford through at least 2014, and in an interview today, that bit was confirmed by the CEO himself.
According to the Associated Press, in a report from The Detroit News, Mulally said he will not be leaving Ford for Microsoft, and reiterated that he will remain at the Blue Oval through 2014, if not longer. Mulally has "no plans other than to serve Ford," according to the report.
Mulally did not say whether or not he had been in talks with Microsoft at any point. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has said he plans to leave the software company sometime this year.
Ford builds two-millionth EcoBoost engine
Tue, 17 Sep 2013Ford's EcoBoost engine lineup is only four years old, but it is growing into an important and popular global engine. As proof of its popularity, Ford just produced its 2 millionth EcoBoost engine - a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder - which rolled off the assembly line in Louisville, Kentucky under the hood of an Escape.
Ford now offers five EcoBoost engines around the world ranging from the 1.0-liter inline-three to the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6, and the automaker is expanding production of two of its engine lines to keep up with demand. Earlier this year, Ford announced that the 2.0-liter EcoBoost would be built in Cleveland, Ohio starting in 2014 and, more recently, Ford said that it will be doubling production of the 1.0-liter EcoBoost in Germany. That turbo-three will also be produced in China at a new Ford engine plant in Chongqing.
