2009 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor Low Mileage!! on 2040-cars
Cleveland, Ohio, United States
Up for sale is a 2009 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor with very low mileage!
Wonderful example of the sought after police interceptor in excellent condition and low milage. The engine is a super strong 4.6L V8 with DUAL exhaust and very quiet - no noise. Body is in great shape and the interior is very clean, all black. I have a brand new set of rear rotors that were just installed, a front rotors the were professionally resurfaced for the lucky new owner of this car. Exterior spot light works flawlessly with a brand new bulb. This is a real head turner of a car, everyone stops me and asks about it! Kelly Blue Book value of it is over $9,000! Original MSRP of this car not even 4 years ago was $28,000! I have all of the maintenance records since the car was originally bought. These will be included in the sale. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to message me, I will respond promptly. If you have any doubts, arrange to come see it. One stomp on the gas pedal and you will fall in love with this machine. A/C ice cold, All scheduled maintenance, All records, Excellent condition, Looks & drives great, Must see, Title in hand, Very clean interior, Well maintained Known issues: I believe that the blower motor resistor needs replaced. To get the blower motor to turn on, it needs tapped with the end of a screwdriver. This should be a really minor repair. The only other issue is that the tires are not very good. They all 4 hold air, and have some tread but will need to be replaced in the neat future. Due to the tires not matching, there is a slight pull to the right when you are driving. I confirmed this was a tire issue by swapping the front tires, and it changed the direction of the pull. I tried to get pictures of the entire car. If there is anything you would like a better picture of, please let me know, I will get you one ASAP! I am willing to arrange a time for you to view the car. If you are interested, please send me a message with your contact information and I will get back to you promptly. |

Martini Mustang is a 'what if moment' gone right
Wed, 23 Oct 2013Feast your eyes on a masterpiece. This is Steve Strope's Ford Mustang in the classic fastback bodystyle, and as you'll notice, it sports the signature colors of Martini Racing, a livery that's as legendary as any Gulf Racing-styled car. But the red, white and blues of the Martini stripe down this Mustang's middle tell only a very small part of the story, in the latest video from Petrolicious.
What would you guess is under the hood? A 289-cubic-inch V8? Maybe a 302, or some absurd Ford crate engine? Maybe Strope went all Tokyo Drift - he's actually responsible for the "Hammer" Plymouth Satellite driven by Vin Diesel at the end of the movie - and found an RB26DETT to drop into the pony car? You'd be wrong on all counts.
This mad, mad man somehow finagled a Ford-Lotus engine from a 1966 Indianapolis 500 car into the Mustang's engine bay. Yes, a Mustang with an engine designed for a 160-mile-per-hour, open-wheel racecar. That's like someone in 40 years dropping McLaren's 2.4-liter V8 from the MP4-28 into a Scion FR-S. It'd just make a monster.
Ford looks back on 50 years of the Mustang in Detroit
Tue, 14 Jan 2014Ford has something special sitting in its booth here at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. In fact, it brought two special somethings in the form of the Ford Mustang 1 Concept that first saw the light of day in 1962 and the very first production Mustang that rolled off the production line in 1964.
These classic creations are sharing floor space with the brand-new 2014 Mustang in honor of the pony car's 50th Anniversary. Since Ford's latest 'Stang already made its auto show debut (at a number of locations, including Los Angeles), we think it's pretty cool that the Blue Oval did something special for its home-town show.
Check out both the Mustang 1 Concept and first production 1964.5 Mustang above and below.
IIHS says these are the safest cars of 2013
Wed, 02 Jan 2013The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has revealed its annual list of Top Safety Picks, an award that highlights automobiles it says offer "superior crash protection." A new and still more significant award, the Top Safety Pick+ honor, is given to those vehicles that earn good ratings for occupant protection in four out of five areas of measure. And while some 117 vehicles were given the TSP seal of approval for 2013, just 13 passed muster for TSP+.
To be fair, IIHS only evaluated 29 vehicles with its new testing procedures for TSP+ (we'd expect that the number of qualified cars will rise substantially for 2014). Luxury and Near Luxury midsize cars were the first groups evaluated, followed by midsizers in the Moderately Priced Cars category - unsurprisingly, it's only midsize cars that you'll find among the class this year.
Only two luxury sedans made the list of 13 for 2013: the Acura TL and Volvo S60. The other 11 cars on the list included entries from domestic, Japanese and German car makers: Dodge Avenger, Chrysler 200, Ford Fusion, Honda Accord (sedan and coupe), Kia Optima (but not its close kin, the Hyundai Sonata, strangely), Nissan Altima, Subaru Legacy and Outback, Suzuki Kizashi and the Volkswagen Passat all made the grade.
