UP FOR BID IS A 2007 FORD CROWN VICTORIA POLICE INTERCEPTOR K9 VEHICLE.  IT WAS RECENTLY REMOVED FROM SERVICE BECAUSE MY POLICE DEPARTMENT NO LONGER HAS A K9 PROGRAM.  PRIOR TO BEING TAKEN OUT OF SERVICE, IT WAS USED AS A FRONT LINE K9 PATROL VEHICLE.  IT HAS 105,725 MILES ON IT SO IT HAS LOTS OF LIFE/SERVICE LEFT IN IT.  THESE VEHICLES ARE WELL KNOWN TO GO 200,000 MILES WITHOUT MISSING A BEAT.  IT IS FULLY EQUIPPED WITH EMERGENCY WARNING EQUIPMENT (RED AND BLUE LIGHTS & SIREN)  AND COULD BE PUT BACK IN TO EVERYDAY, FRONTLINE SERVICE TODAY.  IT RUNS GREAT AND HAS NO MECHANICAL PROBLEMS.  IT HAS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED AND OIL CHANGED EVERY 3,000 MILES.  IT HAS A RAY ALLEN K9 INSERT IN THE BACK WITH RUBBER MAT.  I ALSO HAVE THE BACK SEAT THAT WILL GO WITH THE CAR.  THIS VEHICLE WAS JUST PROFESSONALLY REPAINTED SO NO NEED TO WORRY ABOUT THE TYPICAL CROWN VIC PAINT CHIPS.  VEHICLE HAS FIRESTONE PURSUIT TIRES ON IT AND THEY HAVE DECENT TRED LEFT.  LIVE FAR AWAY FROM ME???  NOT A PROBLEM.  I LIVE ABOUT 20 MIN FROM THE INDIANAPOLIS INT'L AIRPORT.  SO FLY IN, I'LL PICK YOU UP AT THE AIRPORT IN YOUR NEW VEHICLE AND YOU CAN DRIVE IT HOME.  I WILL BE HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS THAT YOU HAVE AND WILL SEND YOU ANY OTHER PICTURES THAT YOU WANT.  DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS GREAT DEAL!  VEHICLE IS BEING SOLD AS IS.

Project Ugly Horse: Part IX

One Step at a Time
Nearly every flavor of exotic driveline has been shoved into the ubiquitous Ford at some point or another.
Chuck Schwynoch had been patiently listening to my ramblings on the other end of the phone for a solid half hour. I'm not too big of a man to know when to ask for help, and at this point, I desperately needed some assistance. The truth is, working on a machine like a Fox Body Mustang is as easy as breathing thanks to the wealth of information available on the web. Nearly every flavor of exotic driveline has been shoved into the ubiquitous Ford at some point or another, and odds are the sorry souls behind those builds shared the highs and lows of their torment with the internet community.

Devils, Details and Weight Reduction
There are many things I could call this exercise. A party is not one of them.
I've spent three days crammed in the axle well of this 1989 Mustang with nothing to keep me company beyond a trouble light, a DeWalt drill on the very last of its legs and billion razor sharp, red hot slivers of metal with an affinity for my most sensitive of regions. My joints are raw from crawling around on the concrete. I'm half deaf from the shriek of the spot weld cutter and the boom of the cold chisel and hammer.

James Franco and tiger tease Ford Super Bowl commercial

Sat, 01 Feb 2014

Ford has just released a teaser for its Super Bowl ad, and unlike just about every other automaker, it seems that the Blue Oval is going to make us wait until Sunday to see the full spot. The teaser is, um, strange.
It stars James Franco, who believes he is Ron Riggle, the comedian, Fox NFL Sunday host and retired Marine lieutenant colonel. There's also a tiger. The vague spot has Franco claiming that "this is no ordinary commercial." You'll note on the bottom right, there's a Ford logo and the hashtag #nearlydouble.
According to Automotive News, it's part of a massive viral effort being pushed forward by Ford and its dealerships. Ford sent different teasers and "vignettes" to dealership employees and asked them to share them on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, in the hopes of creating a viral effect.
