**low Miles** Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor 28,000 Miles on 2040-cars
Lostant, Illinois, United States
I am selling my 2009 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor.
I have owned the car about 3 years now and am looking to upgrade to an
SUV. The car currently has approx.
28,000 miles on it. Minor wear and tear with no mechanical issues. There is
some paint chipping on the bumper that the pictures shows fairly well. I use the car primarily for Fire and EMS
responses. Everything works perfectly,
No check engine light or any other warning lights on dash. Car has one antenna
hole on trunk. Will either leave antenna in it or will plug the hole upon sale.
The car is set up with blue, white and amber warning lights. All lights and
other emergency equipment will be removed from the car at sale. If buyer wants anything to stay with the car,
negotiations will be made for equipment after purchase of base car. I purchased the car knowing of an accident the car was in as
a detective’s vehicle in Alabama. The story I was given was the car was used in
a pit maneuver and made contact with the rear bumper and a guard rail. Front
corner of car made contact with vehicle and air bags deployed. I was nervous as to why they were getting rid
of such a low mile car when repairs were a $5k.
Department policy is to get rid
of any service working vehicle involved in any collision where air bags deploy.
All repairs were completed at licensed and reputable repair facility before I
purchased the car. I have driven the car without a single problem for three
years. Engine and trans are strong. Tires on the front have about 60-70% tread
left as rear has about 20-25% left. I have used Valvoline full synthetic since
owning the car and just completed an oil change about 265 miles ago. If there
are any questions feel free to inbox me.
Thanks for looking. |

Autoblog Podcast #317:
Social media star Scott Monty leaves Ford
Thu, 22 May 2014It seems weird to think that an automaker could have a social media star, but Ford does. Or at least it did. Scott Monty, its Global Digital Communications Manager, led the company's team for almost six years and forged a reputation as being one of the most talented people in corporate social media. But the guru recently announced that he would be leaving the automaker for an undisclosed job elsewhere.
"I just decided the time was right. I am going to take a little time with my family, and I am going to start on a new adventure pretty soon," said Monty in an interview with AdWeek. He also explained a little about his theory of how companies should use social media. In his opinion, it should be a chance to go beyond standard marketing and build a relationship with people. Businesses need to have a broad focus for its online message, and using just one service isn't enough to be successful.
Under his guidance, Ford expanded its Facebook presence significantly. According to AdWeek, it launched the 2010 Explorer on the popular site. Also, when the company wanted to investigate selling electric models, it initially gauged the public's reaction on Facebook and then advertised them there first. Monty has been a major supporter of Twitter as well to broaden the company's communication with the public.
Ford's official Euro aftermarket partner Mountune coming to US
Tue, 06 Aug 2013Now that we're getting a steady stream of Ford's European offerings, the aftermarket world is finally starting to catch up as well. UK-based aftermarket tuning company, Mountune has just announced that it will be setting up shop in California to provide high-performance and racing parts for Ford vehicles including the Focus ST and Fiesta ST.
Mountune lays claim to being Ford's "official European tuning partner," and US buyers will soon have access to these parts through Ford dealerships and with a Ford Racing warranty. Speaking of Ford Racing, Mountune also says that it will be working with Ford's in-house team to develop future components for both street and track. There are no specifics as of yet for which products will be offered here, but the company plans to launch a US-specific website later this month with more information.
