1996 Ford Bronco in very good condition. I purchased this truck earlier this summer with the intention to keep it as a second vehicle. It turns out I don't really need it and I am only driving it one or two days a week.

I looked at a lot of Bronco's before buying this one. Overall this is a very nice truck. It DOES have typical Bronco stuff. For example the tailgate has some rust. The driver's vent window also has a rust problem. I show this in the pictures. I think you're going to find 90% of Bronco's have this problem. There are a lot of nice things about this truck and if you've been shopping for one you'll appreciate the following;

1. Tires are brand new. I will show you the receipt. Installed late July.
2. Gas tank is new.
3. Front bushing - recent replacement.
4. Front shocks - recent replacement.
5. Brakes - recent replacement.
6. All of the power windows and mirrors work.
7. Rear window works from inside or from the key switch.
8. All engine instruments work well. Oil pressure, charging and engine temp are all perfect.
9. I replaced the water pump. It was fine but there was a slow leak. This was done in late July.
10. New brake dust covers for the front brakes.
11. Newer battery. Don't know exact date but it is probably one or two years old.

The truck runs great! It starts every time and the transmission is silky smooth. I test drove several Bronco's before buying this one and I can tell you this one rides very very nice. The truck is smooth and shifts great.

I hate to sell it but I don't use it as much as I thought. I would rather see this go to someone who can use it more. You're welcome to come and test drive it if you live close enough. I can assist with delivery up to a couple hours drive. Email for any questions. Thank you.

Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has a bit of a dyno issue

Tue, 28 May 2013

We're of the mind that each and every dyno should come with Murphy's Law painted in big, visible letters down the side. For every ten successful dyno runs out there, it seems there's one where events to horribly wrong. Take, for example, the video below. The clip shows what happens when a Ford Shelby GT500 and a mobile dyno have a bit of a disagreement at the Performance Expo 24 in Sherbrooke, Quebec. We won't spoil the results for you, but we will say there's some substantial carnage involved.
It's unclear just how much damage ensues from the dust up or whether anyone was harmed in the incident, but from the looks of things, everyone made it out without serious injury. If only we could say the same for the machines involved. Check out the video below.

Ford profiles surprisingly affluent Focus ST buyers

Fri, 08 Nov 2013

It comes as no surprise when Ford says that 32-percent of Focus ST buyers are under 35, but we weren't expecting this: the average annual salary of Focus ST buyers is $127,000. Twenty-two percent of non-ST Focus buyers are under 35, while their average annual salary is $67,000.
We like the Focus ST because it has 252 horsepower, is genuinely fun to drive and offers great value for performance-minded car enthusiasts; facts that are not lost on customers, it seems. Ford says that the Focus ST has the highest percentage of conquest sales for a non-hybrid model it sells, and that the top-four trade-ins are from Honda, Chevrolet, Mazda and Toyota. Demand for the hot Focus is strongest in Los Angeles, Detroit, Houston and Orlando.
"[The Focus ST is] having this kind of halo effect for other vehicles we'd hoped for when we invested in the ST brand," says John Felice, vice president of US marketing, sales and service, because it's helping to boost sales of other Ford vehicles.

Ford trademarking 'Mach 1,' possibly for Mustang

Thu, 24 Oct 2013

A legendary name might be accompanying the redesigned, 2015 Mustang when it finally makes its world debut - Mach 1. Stumbled upon by the team at Ford Authority, the Mach 1 title was found in a trademark filing with the US Patent and Trademark Office, and would revive a name last used on the fourth-generation, 2003 Mustang.
While the the 2003 vintage was well and good, the Mach 1 is really remembered for a three-year run from 1969 to 1971 - it's best to just forget the emissions-choked 1972 to 1978 Mach 1s - when power output ranged from a modest 250 horsepower with the two-barrel, 351-cubic-inch Windsor V8 to "375 hp" (actual output was rumored to be well north of 400 horsepower) with the righteous, 429-cubic-inch Super Cobra Jet V8.
What does the title hold for the sixth-generation Mustang? It's tough to say. The fanatics at Ford Authority seem to think Mach 1 could take the place of the Shelby GT500 at the top of the Mustang hierarchy, which sounds like a valid argument. At the same time, we could see the SVT Cobra moniker returning for the flagship model, and the Mach 1 doing battle with the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 (unless the Boss 302 were to return). Confounding things is the historical precedent - the Mach 1 was responsible for the death of the Mustang GT in 1969, so it might make sense as a volume performance model.
