This is a super clean 1974 Ford Bronco.  I am putting it up for auction because I can't keep this as a toy and I don't want to use it as my dailyh driver.  I started off by trying to sell this on Craigslist with the intent to sell or possibly swap titles with somone who had a Jeep Wrangler, 4x4 truck (preferrably diesel) or a nice vehicle but didnt really it was geting much attention hence I decided to go with eBay. When I originally purchased this Bronco (off eBay in June of this year), it unknowingly came to me with a 302 that had a cracked cylinder wall.  So, to remedy this,  I had my mechanic put in a 302 5.0L motor that had been taken out of a '99 Ford Explorer so it has a serpentine belt set up with an A/C compressor already installed.  I kept it carbureted (it does not have fuel injection).  Most every component of the motor has been replaced including a brand new high performance Mallory distributor  and fuel pump. It has brand new Ford Mustang front seats and the rear seat is new as well along with a brand new dash.  All the internal components of the doors (window cranks, door handles and locks) are all brand new. It has 33" tires that are sitting on a brand new set of Pro-Comp aluminum rims. All the rubber seals for the top are brand new as well.  This Bronco is 100% rust free and the underside of this Bronco is about as clean as the top side.  This Bronco had a frame up restoration about 19K miles ago.  It has always been garage kept both by the previous owner and by myself.  The top is in immaculate condition and it is rhino lined white to match its fender flares.  This Bronco is by no means 100% perfect as it isn't a $35K Bronco but it certainly isn't any $15K Bronco either. FYI-the motor has about 10 moths left of full warranty on it. It runs strong-no knocks or taps and it doesn't burn oil.  Anyone is welcome to call me and ask any questions or request more information and pictures.  Call/text Peter 850-602-7525.

Ford-sponsored survey says a third of Brits have snapped a 'selfie' while driving [w/videos]

Fri, 08 Aug 2014

Talking on the phone while driving isn't advisable, and texting while driving is downright dangerous. Considering those truths, the fact that we even need to point this out this is incredibly disturbing: taking "selfies" while behind the wheel is exceptionally stupid. But, it's a thing that a third of 18- to 24-year-old British drivers have copped to doing, according to a new study from Ford.
Ford, through its Driving Skills for Life program, surveyed 7,000 smartphone owners from across Europe, all aged between 18 and 24, and found that young British drivers were more likely to snap a selfie while behind the wheel than their counterparts in Germany, France, Romania, Italy, Spain and Belgium.
According to the study, the average selfie takes 14 seconds, which, while traveling at 60 miles per hour, is long enough to travel over the length of nearly four football fields (the Ford study uses soccer fields, but we translated it to football, because, you know, America). That's an extremely dangerous distance to not be focused on the road.

This 2,000-hp Mustang is in serious need of wheelie bars

Tue, 25 Feb 2014

The Ford Mustang on the right is drag racing with the standard technique. The Mustang on the left, driven by David Measell, is using a new "rear bumper only" technique that evidently surprised everyone at the South Georgia Motorsports Park strip - including Measell.
Measell said his outfit just bought the car the week before the event, noting that it has more than 2,000 horsepower. Speaking of his "flying" run, Measell said, "We turned it up to dip on down," by which he meant they turned up the power in order to get his time down. Turns out all that power and all that traction sent the nose straight up into the air almost as soon as the race began.
He told an interviewer afterward that this was his first race in a "regular car" since he normally drives a pro-mod. "I like my wheelie bars," he concluded. You can see how he got there in the video below.

Ford Fiesta becomes UK all-time best seller

Thu, 24 Jul 2014

We may regard Ford as an American automaker, but ask a Brit and they may tell you otherwise. The Blue Oval has, after all, been selling cars in the UK since 1903, and started manufacturing there as far back as 1911 when it began local production of the Model T in Manchester. Last year Ford ended 100 years of vehicle manufacturing in the UK when the last Transit van rolled off the assembly line in Southampton, but it's still the biggest-selling automotive marque in Britain.
Ford has led the British market for 34 out of the past 45 years, selling more Fiestas than any other company sells any other car in the UK since 2009... when it overtook the Focus. In fact the Fiesta has now become the best-selling car in British history, topping 4,115,000 units since its introduction in 1976. The previous record was held by - you guessed it - another Ford: the Escort sold 4,105,961 units over the course of its 32 years on the British market.
Although the Fiesta is no longer manufactured in the UK (previous versions having been built at Dagenham until 2002), engines are: the EcoBoost line was developed at the company's R&D center in Essex and are built at the factory in Dunton, while its diesel engines were developed at Dagenham in East London. Even the 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine in the Fiesta ST is built in South Wales.
