1972 Ford Bronco 4x4 on 2040-cars
Grenada, Mississippi, United States
1972 U14 Ford Bronco 302, three speed trans floor shift, dana 44 front end, power steering, T shift transfer case, 3 row radiator, flow master exhaust. Bronco cranks, runs, and drives. The bronco will need some TLC. the front two tires have some dry to them, it has only been used during hunting season. has a few dents, but nothing that can't be fixed. it has never been wrecked. the brakes do work, but do need a little work. the passenger side window also needs work, the glass is good but needs to be put back on track. 4 wheel drive does work. bronco does run and drive but smokes and has a miss, but I do have another good 302 engine out of a 73 bronco that runs great, does not smoke, and has plenty of power. this motor will go along with the bronco in the sell. Bronco would make a great builder or hunting truck. the floor pans at one time had rust in the very front, but some one has patched them. The rear seat is not bolted in, the front two seats are torn badly but nothing some seat covers will not fix. Grant steering wheel, heat works good. Flow master exhaust, battery, key switch, ignition switch, rear end, and drive shaft are all new within the last six months. This is a U14 vin # bronco, so it was a factory halfcab bronco if anyone is looking to restore one with matching numbers. the bronco will be sold as is, as it is not a brand new vehicle. If you have any questions, call 662-588-8710.

2015 Ford Focus
Tue, 14 Oct 2014Sitting down at the pre-drive briefing with Ford engineers ahead of sampling the refreshed 2015 Focus, water bottles clinked as we wet our whistles before Q&A. While pouring a glass, we noticed something stamped on the bottle label: "1L." One liter. We were palming the exact displacement of the EcoBoost engine our group was about to drive. This was undoubtedly coincidence (such bottles litter every conference and dinner table in Europe) but it served to drive home just how small the total swept volume of Ford's wunderkind powerplant really is. It's tiny.
Of course, this isn't our first run-in with the little triple - we've sampled its turbocharged charms before in Ford's smaller Fiesta. At that time, we found it had plenty of poke for the subcompact, but the larger C-segment Focus carries around another 450 pounds or so and pushes a wider profile through the air. Would the three-cylinder have the stuffing to make the most of the Focus' athletic chassis, or would it be a letdown? Would it be the same as it was when we tested it in a Euro-spec Focus a couple of years ago? There was nothing left for it but to head out on the bucolic roads surrounding Versailles the day after the Paris Motor Show and find out for ourselves.
2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost
Fri, 16 May 2014Earlier this week, Ford invited us to Charlotte, NC, to ride in an all-new 2015 Mustang fitted with its turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder. It's the first forced-induction, four-cylinder ponycar for the Blue Oval since the sun set on the 1986 Mustang SVO. We jumped at the opportunity, as only a handful of people have ever been in the passenger seat of this new car, and most automotive media won't get as close as we did until this fall.
As we revealed in our Deep Dive, Ford will slot this new turbocharged four as premium powerplant between its naturally aspirated 3.7-liter V6 and the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8. At last mention, the automaker said the direct-injected, all-aluminum engine will develop 305 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque, returning the best fuel economy of the three powerplants in the process. History buffs will note that those figures are appreciably stouter than the 200 horses and 240 lb-ft that the '86 SVO realized out of the same displacement, and the latter's figures were hugely impressive at the time. On paper, the new EcoBoost four looks to be a good fit for most owners who want to balance performance with efficiency - we were eager to see how it felt from the passenger seat.

Why Ford's Alan Mulally would be right for Microsoft, or any company
Thu, 03 Oct 2013
That Mulally was seriously being considered says a great deal about Microsoft and Mulally.
It appears that the chatter about Ford CEO Alan Mulally possibly leaving early to take over as CEO of Microsoft is losing air pretty fast. What's pretty interesting is that it got any traction in the first place.
