1966 Ford Bronco Beautifully Restored 60,100 Miles *no Reserve *free Shipping on 2040-cars
Andover, Kansas, United States
THIS IS A VERY NICELY RESTORED 1966 FORD BRONCO. IT HAS BEEN GONE THROUGH FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. IF YOU WANT A BRONCO THAT YOU CAN ENJOY DRIVING THIS IS IT! IT RIDES SMOOTH AND TRACKS STRAIGHT DOWN THE ROAD, EVEN AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. IT HAS A FUEL INJECTED 351 IN IT, THAT WAS REBUILT WHEN INSTALLED ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO. THE ENGINE STARTS EVERY TIME AND RUNS STRONG. THE 5 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION CAME OUT OF THE SAME 94 F250 IT SHIFTS THROUGH ALL GEARS SMOOTHLY AND NEVER SLIPS. ALL EVIDENCE (TITLE, ODOMETER, HISTORY) SUPPORTS THAT THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 60,100 MILES. OBVIOUSLY, I CANNOT PROVE THIS THOUGH. THIS DOES HAVE POWER STEERING AND REAR DISC BRAKES ALL THE BODY WORK WAS DONE 4 MONTHS AGO. THE RUST BETWEEN THE REAR QUARTERS WAS FIXED, AND THE ROCKERS WERE REPLACED. THEN THE ENTIRE TRUCK WAS PAINTED THE GUNMETAL GREY COLOR. THE PAINT IS GLOSSY AND BEAUTIFUL, BUT NOT PERFECT. THERE IS A COUPLE OF SPOTS BETWEEN THE BODY PARTS THAT COULD HAVE USED A LITTLE MORE WORK. THEY JUST SHOW AS A SLIGHT SHADE LIGHTER THAN THE BODY COLOR. AT THIS SAME TIME THE ROLLBAR AND BUMPERS WERE ALL PAINTED GLOSS BLACK. THE INTERIOR IS ALL BRAND NEW, AND HAS NEVER BEEN WET OR SAT IN THE SUN. THE CORBEAU SEATS ARE VERY COMFORTABLE. THE DASH WAS JUST PAINTED, AS WAS THE FLOOR. THE DASH PAD IS FROM TOMS AND WAS PUT ON A WEEK AGO. THE CONSOLE IS A LOCKING STEREO CONSOLE. IT IS A LITTLE OLDER BUT WORKS AND LOOKS GREAT. I WAS GOING TO REPLACE ALL THE KNOBS AND BEZELS, BUT NEVER GOT AROUND TO IT. IT HAS A LOCKER IN THE 9" REAR END. THE FRONT IS DANA 30. THE HARD TOP IS STILL PAINTED SILVER AND HAS NOT BEEN RESTORED. I WAS GOING TO RHINO LINE IT WHEN I DID THE INTERIOR BUT NEVER GOT AROUND TO IT. THE TIRES ARE BRAND NEW WITH MAYBE 50 MILES ON THEM. THEY ARE 33X12.5R15 MASTERCRAFT MXT. THESE TIRES ARE VERY SMOOTH AND QUIET, ESPECIALLY FOR A MUD TIRE. 4WD WORKS PERFECTLY, AND IT HAS EASY TO TURN LOCKING HUBS. THE 9000LB WARN WINCH IS REMOVABLE AND IT SLIDES RIGHT INTO THE BACK BUMPER WHICH HAS BEEN SET UP WITH POWER HOOK UPS AS WELL. EVERYTHING IS TIGHT AND THERE ARE NO LEAKS. WHAT I WAS STILL GOING TO DO BUT HAVE NOT: RHINO LINE THE INTERIOR NEW BACKING PLATES WERE MADE FOR THE DOORS WHEN IT WAS PAINTED AND I HAVE NOT ADJUSTED THE HINGES SO THE DOORS CLOSE FLUSH. THEY STICK OUT JUST A BIT. IT IS SLIGHT SO I NEVER REALLY SET OUT TO FIX IT. THERE IS ONE SPOT ON THE PASSENGER KICK PLATE THAT HAS A HOLE IN IT. I TOOK PICTURES OF IT. NO CURRENT RUST, BUT NOT REPLACED EITHER. THE FRONT DRIVERS CORNER IS NOT QUITE LINED UP JUST RIGHT. IT IS SLIGHT BUT I TOOK PICTURES OF IT. GLASS IN THE HARDTOP IS ALL VERY GOOD, BUT SOMEONE PUT TINT ON IT AT SOME POINT THAT IS PEELING OFF AND IS KIND OF UGLY.
LIKE I SAID THIS TRUCK IS NOT PERFECT, BUT IT IS SOOO CLOSE, BUT IF YOU WANT AN AWESOME TRUCK THAT YOU FEEL YOU CAN DRIVE EVERYDAY THIS IS IT. IT KILLS ME TO SELL IT. PRICE IS $22,500.00 + FREE SHIPPING WITH BUY IT NOW. FREE SHIPPING TO THE LOWER 48 STATES ONLY, AND WHEN BUY IT NOW IS USED ONLY.

Project Ugly Horse: Part VIII
Fri, 17 May 2013Now With More EcoBoost
There's an EcoBoost 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder in there somewhere, and it's headed straight for Ugly Horse.
For the second time in my life, I'm staring at an engine in the back of a truck with no concept of how to get it safely into the garage by my lonesome. The first time this happened, I dragged home a $300 International 345 V8 in the back of my Scout Terra only to discover that the bounds of my manliness terminated well before my ability to muscle that 800-pound cast iron block out of the pickup bed.
Ford Australia reveals updated Territory, Falcon via Twitter
Mon, 28 Jul 2014Ford may have tied together much of its global lineup under the One Ford campaign, but one market where it still offers unique products is Australia. That will soon draw to a close as well, but before it does, the Blue Oval's Aussie operations are rolling out refreshed versions of its two unique products. For the moment, Ford isn't revealing much in the way of powertrain details, but it has shown off a couple of snaps of the revised products on its in-market Twitter feed.
First up is the new Territory. The SUV is neither based on a front-drive crossover platform nor on a truck frame, but shares its rear-drive underpinnings with the Falcon, taking it a step beyond the Falcon wagon alongside which it sits in Ford's Aussie range. Like the outgoing third-generation SZ Territory, the facelifted version is dominated by a narrow grille and larger front air dam, but further punctuates its big-chinned look with more rugged lower cladding and other metallic inserts that bring its look up to date.
And there's the Falcon, which Ford revealed in XR8 trim just last week and is now presenting in G6E spec. If the XR8 is the performance model, the G6E is the luxury version, swapping in more refined trim like a chrome-slat grille (instead of a black honeycomb), chrome foglamp surrounds, less-aggressive multi-spoke wheels (instead of five-spokes) and a flatter hood (instead of a power bulge). Otherwise, it looks essentially the same as the one we saw last week, its facelift bringing it more in line with the smaller, front-drive Mondeo (which we know here as the Fusion) and other members of the Ford family.
Ford evaluating new Fiesta RS?
Wed, 08 Jan 2014Word coming in from across the pond has it that Ford is working on developing the business case to create a new Fiesta RS. The development is encouraged by the extremely positive reception the existing Fiesta ST has garnered to date, and the emergence of the above-pictured Fiesta RS WRC rally car, but it'll take more than goodwill to make a more extreme version a reality.
According to Auto Express, a new roadgoing Fiesta RS would almost certainly be based closely on the ST version, albeit with some vital differences. Its 1.6-liter turbo four would be increased from 180 horsepower to somewhere around 230 hp, and that powertrain would be accompanied by lightweight alloys inside blistered wheel arches, a stripped-out interior and possibly lightweight bodywork.
The vehicle's approval would reportedly require a strong business case in Europe, and not just in the UK where Ford hot hatches traditionally enjoy a strong following. It's unclear whether the Fiesta RS would potentially make the transatlantic voyage to American showrooms, but between it and the larger Focus RS, hopefully the Blue Oval wouldn't leave its home market out of the action altogether.
