I have a 1990 Ford Bronco II for sale that I purchased a little over a year and a half ago but the opportunity came up to purchase a newer vehicle so I must sell the Bronco. The bronco is a very clean original 84k mile example that I have spent much time getting issues sorted out and making it an excellent and reliable daily use vehicle. Feel free to contact me requesting more information or to schedule a time to come see/test drive the car in person. 1990 Bronco II XLT -2.9l -Push button 4x4 with automatic locking front hubs -Automatic transmission (A4ld) -D35 front axle (very late production 90 with the better D35 front TTB) -7.5in rear 3.73 Ratio -Rear ABS -Power windows -Power door locks -Rear wiper & defroster -Cruise Control -A/C (currently inop, needs diag and repair, its all there, probably needs to be charged) **Recent Repairs** -(10/13) Installed American racing outlaw II 15x7 wheels and Brand new BF Goodrich tires -(11/13) Full tune up (cap, rotor, wires, plugs, air filter, fuel filter), New radiator & lower hose, Thermostat & coolant flush, Transmission serviced, New fuel pressure regulator, New cat-back exhaust installed. -(12/13) Rebuilt both cylinder heads (If you know these 2.9's they have two different style head designs...this one has the updated later style stronger casting), replaced all new head gaskets, intake gaskets, head bolts, new lifters, and pushrods. -(1/14) Replaced complete fuel pump/sending unit assembly -(4/15) Replaced both front door lock actuators, P/S window motor gear, Front wheel bearings, Rear brake wheel cylinders, shoes and drums. Everything works on the bronco excluding the a/c, it tracks straight, stops and drives well. It does have a little surface rust here and there, but is in original excellent condition and is still wearing its factory paint. Feel free to contact me for more information.

Project Ugly Horse: Part VI

Solid axle? What solid axle?
I was fully prepared to embark on a seven-day journey down a rabbit hole of broken bolts, internet hearsay and consternation.
This should not have gone this easily. Having a long and checkered history of simple projects punctuated by much wailing and gnashing of knuckles, I was fully prepared to embark on a seven-day journey down a rabbit hole of broken bolts, internet hearsay and consternation when I finally decided to lay hands on the '89 Mustang with the goal of relieving the car of its stock rear axle. Instead, it took less than a full morning's worth of work to carve the old 7.5-inch solid axle from its moorings and mock up something, well, different.

Ford car-camo artist works his craft on Australia's new Falcon XR8

Fri, 25 Jul 2014

Ford is among the kings of concealment when it comes to test cars. On one recent Mustang SVT mule, the automaker went to the extreme of putting baffles over the exhausts to hide how many there were. Sounds like a lot of work, right? In a new video, the Blue Oval has decided to take fans behind the scenes to show them what it takes to camouflage a prototype. In this case the subject was the recently unveiled 2014 Falcon XR8 for Australia.
Ford's prototype build coordinator Down Under has the very appropriate name of Neil Trickey, and it's his job to obfuscate the important bits of test cars to keep them out of spy shooters' camera lenses. Trickey calls his job a "dark art," and he shows off some of the tricks of his trade in the video. It turns out that the fabric we often see on mules is a type of lycra, but his team isn't above getting out a can of spray paint to conceal parts, too.
Scroll down to watch a video about a man who you probably wish could be a little worse at his job.

Ford increasing Super Duty production by 15 percent

Fri, 31 Jan 2014

Ford has announced a hefty $80 million investment in its Kentucky Truck Plant, which is responsible for building the F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 versions of the Super Duty pickup. The influx of cash will add 350 jobs to the factory.
The investment is also good for a 15-percent increase in annual production thanks to retooling and other facility upgrades, which equates to an extra 55,000 units of production. Considering that Ford makes even more money off its Super Duty than it does on the hot-selling F-150, this could mean some serious coin to Ford's bottom line.
Hop below for the full press release from Ford on its latest investment.
