First car built by Mark Goyette the Prototype vehicle, a "one off" built by Goyette himself and unlike any of the others subsequently built.
This Modena unlike others follows the Original Ferrari (1961) fairly well the front suspension has an upper A-Arm and a lower control arm that is connected to an Torsion bar Five link NASCAR TYPE rear suspension- Full race motor 500+ HP- 5Speed Transmission - Baffled Aluminum Fuel tank -. The rear suspension consist of a ford solid axle with Torsion bars as the spring-ing medium, four links for longitudinal location, and a panhard rod for lateral location. Steel-tubing frame is used throughout, with the best engineering credentials in the Industry the chassis was designed by Bob Webb, a veteran Indy-Car fabricator who worked the best of the best race vehicles produced. Ferrari delivers one-off F12 SP America in New York
Tue, 01 Jul 2014Ferrari's Special Projects division has apparently been keeping busy. We're sure that we don't even see half of the special one-offs Maranello's customer skunkworks unit produces, but we've been seeing quite a few lately.
The last one that popped up on our radar screens was the F12 TRS revealed at the recent Ferrari Cavalcade in Sicily, and now it seems that the Prancing Horse marque has delivered another. It's similarly based on the F12 Berlinetta, but instead of taking its inspiration from the 250 Testa Rossa with a unique roadster body-style, the F12 SP America pictured here seems to pay stylistic tribute to the 250 GTO - evident in the trio of nostrils in the nose, the unique side vents, the slates behind the windows and the restyled rear haunches that meld into an integrated rear spoiler.
This unique take of the F12 was delivered to its assuredly wealthy commissioner by Wide World Ferrari Maserati in Spring Valley, NY, which tells you as much as the chosen model name that this particular one-off is staying right here in the United States.

Ferrari F12 Berlinetta takes home 2014 Robb Report Car of the Year [w/video]
Tue, 25 Mar 2014In what is being called an "unprecedented landslide decision," those who have the right to cast votes have anointed the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta as the 2014 Robb Report Car of the Year. Standout features that have helped the Ferrari earn such a runaway victory include its 0-60 blast of 3.1 seconds, its 211-mile-per-hour top speed and the exhaust note of its 731-horsepower V12 engine.
After being driven by a team of journalists and 100 or so members of the private Robb Report Club, the grand tourer beat out a total of 13 contenders that included the Audi R8 V10 Plus, Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster, Aston Martin Vanquish Volante, Bentley Continental Flying Spur, Jaguar F-Type V8 S, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe, Maserati Quattroporte GTS and Dodge SRT Viper GTS.
