Up for bid is a 1997 Dodge Ram 4wd truck. It is a 12v Cummins diesel with less than 180K miles. It is in awesome condition. Everything works. It is fully loaded with leather. It has a viper alarm with automatic start. It has an aftermarket paint job that sparkles. It has icy flakes in the paint. It is probably hard to see in the pictures but on a sunny day it looks great. Very high dollar paint job. When I bought the truck there was Sunco paperwork in the truck. This makes me believe that it has an aftermarket Sunco automatic transmission. Runs & drives great! I have two fog lights that go under the bumper besides the ones that are on the truck in the pictures. It only has a few imperfections. Two very small dents in the hood. I was told that they should come out by a dentless repair guy. There is also a small dent on the bottom of the bed on the back. It also has a few inch crack in the dash. The rubber piece for the passenger side step needs to be replaced. It has a few marks on the carpet too. Overall this truck is in awesome condition. It is in as close to new condition as you will probably find in a truck like this. Doubt another one this nice exists! I really really do not want to sell but I need a green truck because the color pertains to my business. This will make someone a nice truck for years to come. 2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit prepares to keep Hellcats in line
Wed, 13 Aug 2014Earlier today, Dodge pulled the wraps off its 2015 Charger SRT Hellcat - a 707-horsepower sedan capable of sprinting to 60 miles per hour in 3.7 seconds and reaching a top speed of 204 mph. Naturally, the car debuted in a bright shade of pull-me-over red, so it was fitting, then, that Dodge also brought its newly updated 2015 Charger Pursuit to keep everything under control.
No, cops won't be able to spec their Charger cruisers with the 707-hp Hellcat engine (oh man, imagine the chase scenes...), but law enforcement officials will be able to choose from either a 3.6-liter V6 or 5.7-liter Hemi V8, producing 292 hp and 370 hp, respectively. V8 models can be ordered with all-wheel drive, and Dodge estimates that with either engine, the Charger Pursuit can achieve up to 26 miles per gallon on the highway (thanks to the V8's four-cylinder mode).
Other updates for 2015 include improved braking power, a seven-inch display in the instrument cluster, a five-inch display in the center stack, and a new vehicle systems interface that could make it easier for police squads to install computer and radio equipment.
Dodge Viper recall requires small-handed mechanics
Fri, 25 Apr 2014It has been over a year since Chrysler first announced its recall of 3,660 2003-2004 Dodge Vipers because the airbag could suddenly deploy. The repairs are finally beginning, and it appears to be a nightmare for mechanics.
According to the automaker's filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag control module can fail, which causes the bag or the seatbelt pre-tensioner to deploy without warning. It took over a year to design the new parts, according to The New York Times. However, Chrysler finally has a new "jumper harness with an in-line diode filter circuit" ready to fix the problem.
The dilemma now moves to the mechanics who have to actually install the part. A 47-step guide from Chrysler explains that the procedure should take about two hours. It's not an easy job, though. Most of the dashboard has to be taken apart, and the instructions include this helpful bit of advice: "Installing the jumper harness and filter box into position is not an easy task. Patience, perseverance, and small hands are required." We wish the best of luck to them. The fix comes just in time for the Vipers to enjoy the summer sun.
