I am the 2nd owner of this 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Quadcab 4x4 (original purchaser is a co-worker, both NON-SMOKERS) and I've owned it for over 3 years. Sits up on its suspension and rides/drives like a new one! This is an AWESOME TRUCK that whenever it needed ANYTHING, it was repaired quickly with quality parts and service. 110,000 wreck-free miles, 5.2L V-8, automatic, 4x4. Cruise, tilt, tow package, no pw or pdl. Fresh synthetic oil/filter change. New water pump (caught old one BEGINNING to weep and installed a super high quality replacement. New serpentine belt. Newer brakes. Newer battery. AM/FM/CD. New Goodyear Wrangler HT tires. Cold air. Seats show hardly any signs of wear. Large capacity center armrest/storage. Body is very good with some hardly noticeable hale pecks and light wrinkling in passenger door. Inherent of these years, dash is cracked; this one's has a custom cover so it's not noticeable. Very clean in and out, often garaged. Drive anywhere RIGHT NOW -- no leaks or consumption of anything and no bad habits. Transfer case and all 4wd components in great working order. I cannot overemphasize what a reliable, great driving and running truck this is. We live in EXTREME southern Illinois, so there is next to no rust even under this truck. Driver's side headlamp has some moisture in it, but works fine. Has a brake controller (bassboat towed occasionally), 7 prong round and flat 4 hook up. If you are looking for a reliable, good looking, affordable pickup that drives like a dream and will get you where you are going even in less than ideal conditions, for the next several years, you have found it.

Will Dodge limit 2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat to 1,200 units?
Sun, 20 Jul 2014With over 700 horsepower on tap and a price tag barely over $60k, Dodge appears on paper to have a winner on its hands with the new Challenger SRT Hellcat. But if you want to get your hands on one, you may have to act quicker than this most powerful of muscle cars covers the quarter-mile.
That's because, according to our compatriots over at Edmunds, Dodge may limit production - in the first year, at least - to just 1,200 units. That would amount to barely a quarter of the Challengers that Dodge moves each month, and would also mean only one Hellcat for every two Dodge dealers in the US - which could lead to some serious contention over which stores and which customers can get their hands on the ultimate Challenger.
Reached for comment, SRT spokesman Dan Reid told Autoblog that "there is no plan to limit production of the Challenger Hellcat," echoing the words of Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis who told Edmunds: "We don't know what the market demand is." Which doesn't mean that it won't restrict production, but doesn't mean that it will, either. It just hasn't decided yet - or announced any such decision, at any rate - over what will be the final allocation strategy for what could be a game-changing muscle car. That is, at least, until new versions of the Mustang and Camaro come along in pursuit of Dodge's bragging rights...
Weekly Recap: Things you might not know about the 2015 Dodge Charger and Challenger Hellcats
Sat, 16 Aug 2014If you're an enthusiast, and you don't know that Dodge spawned another Hellcat this week, you really must have been living in cave. The 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is probably the biggest news for enthusiasts since the reveal of, well the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
But, there are some things you might not know or might have missed about the new Charger and Challenger Hellcats. For starters, reports that the Hellcat production would be limited to a low volume are not true.
"We have not capped the Hellcat on either the Challenger or the Charger," Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis said.
Chrysler banks $507 million in Q2, trims 2013 earnings forecast
Tue, 30 Jul 2013Chrysler has some good news and some bad news. First, profits were up 16 percent over the second quarter of 2012, bringing the Auburn Hills, Michigan-based manufacturer $507 million on the back of strong demand for trucks and SUVs (a recurring theme this quarter, particularly in the US). Q2 revenue was up as well, from $16.8 billion in 2012 to $18 billion in 2013. The bad news is that the Pentastar's overall earnings forecast for net income in 2013 has been trimmed from $2.2 billion to between $1.7 and $2.2 billion, according to Automotive News.
In addition to the adjusted net income forecast, Chrysler tweaked its operating profit from $3.8 billion to between $3.3 and $3.8 billion. This has gone largely unexplained by Chrysler, perhaps hoping the news of a three-percent increase in its transaction prices for Q2 will allow it to sweep this adjustment under the rug.
The star of the show for Chrysler has been its US sales, which saw a 10-percent jump, both bettering the industry average of eight percent and improving over the same stretch of 2012. As with the increase in transaction prices, Chrysler has the new Ram pickup and Jeep Grand Cherokee to thank. Perhaps most worrying from this report, though, is that every brand in the automaker's stable saw an increase in sales... except for the Chrysler brand itself.
