Howdy, up for auction is my 2000 Dodge Ram Sport with the 5.9l V8. This truck was purchased by my father 13 years ago and has stayed in the family ever since. Sadly no one in the family has need of it anymore so we are letting it go to a new family. 112274 miles on it and the oil has been changed every 3000 to 5000 miles with Mobil 1 synthetic since the very first oil change.

The Good:

The A/C still blows cold air (although the blower motor is not what it used to be and may not last much longer)

The engine and transmission still run strong.

The power steering gear box was recently replaced.

Tires still have a lot of life.

Extended cab.

The Bad:

It has a small transmission fluid leak

The carpets were starting to mold so they have been removed.

There is not much left of the dash (see pics)

Suspension makes a lot of noise (greasing the fittings does not quiet it down much)

The front speakers are shot and the rear speakers are spotty. (aka the radio does not work very well)

The clear coat is terrible on the roof and hood and its a truck and has been used like one (i.e. dump runs, moving furniture, etc...) it's got some dents and dings.

I am not in a big hurry to sell so unless the buy it now option is used I will not end the auction early. If it does not sell I am going to take it as a sign that I need to hang on to it a little longer. If you have any questions please feel free to ask, if you have any negative comments please feel free to keep them to yourself.

Thank you for looking Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!

Dodge unveils Special Service Durango for government fleets

Fri, 18 Oct 2013

Straight off its refresh, the Dodge Durango is slipping back into its dress blues and getting back to work. The 2014 Dodge Durango Special Service Vehicle boasts all the refinements and improvements that the refreshed, civilian-spec model received, most notably a 15-percent improvement in fuel economy.
Designed for police and fire departments, and as Chrysler's answer to the Ford Police Interceptor Utility and Chevrolet Tahoe PPV in the growing service SUV market, the Durango boasts a 600-mile range, thanks to the addition of an eight-speed automatic, available on both the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and 5.7-liter Hemi V8. Equipped with the 360-horsepower Hemi, the Durango SSV can tow up to 7,400 pounds (the V6 is limited to 6,200 pounds).
Police and fire department Durangos get a few special features over the civilian models. The electric systems are ruggedized, with a heavy duty battery and a 220-amp alternator in place, while the engine's water pump and oil cooler are both stronger. The brakes are tougher, and a load-leveling suspension has been fitted, too.

2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat revealed [UPDATE]

Wed, 13 Aug 2014

Almost immediately after we drove the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, we began wondering: what's next? Pumping 707 horsepower into the Challenger seemed so crazy - and so intoxicating - we just assumed that Dodge would try that trick again.
Rumors swirled about a Charger Hellcat. Frankly it makes even more sense than the Challenger version. The Charger is a bigger car, and Dodge has never been shy about dropping monster engines under its hood. Hell (cat), we've seen Charger mules running around town that appeared to be the super sedan.
And finally, it's here. The 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat was revealed today at a preview event near Detroit, and it will be a centerpiece of the Chrysler display this weekend at the Woodward Dream Cruise.

2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat has 707 glorious horsepower [w/video]

Tue, 01 Jul 2014

Hold onto your butts. "600-plus horsepower" is what we were told to expect from the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT with its 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V8 engine. But as we've just learned, those were incredibly conservative numbers. Dodge has officially announced that the range-topping Challenger will hit the asphalt with 707 - seven hundred and seven - horsepower, making it the "most powerful muscle car ever."
Of course, 707 hp is only part of the story, as the Hellcat has also been confirmed to produce 650 pound-feet of torque. All that power will run exclusively to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission that differs from other Challengers. The new gearbox, 8HP90 (rather than the 8HP70) is "upgraded to handle the extra power and torque," says Dan Reid, SRT's manager of product design and motorsports.
We certainly hope you're prepared to spend a ton of money replacing tires.
