1975 Dodge Power Wagon W200 Club Cab on 2040-cars
Woodhull, New York, United States
My son and bought this truck on e-bay about 2 years ago as a project, sadly we can not finish it and are forced to sell. It is a 1975 dodge power wagon W200 4x4. It has an 8 inch suspension lift, brand new good year wrangler 37x12.5x16.5 tires, new brakes all the way around including the calipers and wheel cylinders. It has a rebuilt 727 transmission done at a local transmission shop. New ball joints and universals in front axle. New floor boards replaced at a local body shop. The seat has been redone. Both wing windows have rams professionally etched into the glass. The frame is immaculate, 4x4 works and truck is currently licensed in NY and inspected until 5/2015. The body does have dings, dents and scratches as any 1975 vehicle would. This truck originally had air conditioning but no longer does. Ebay made me put a mileage down and it is purely a guess. The engine in this truck is a 1970 440 that we bought from an individual who said it was rebuilt it was in a 1973 dodge truck he had and we bought the whole truck for parts. The engine is a 1970 440, the id pad next to the distributor is as follows G 440 8 17 440, the numbers on the passenger side of the block are 1 21 70 underneath that is 2586430-8 the ID pad to the right of these numbers has 10140399. I have a video of the truck and the engine starting and running, showing the oil pressure on my cell phone that I could e-mail to someone if interested, this engine runs well. Shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer and payment will need to made within 7 business of auction end.

Chrysler killing off the 200 Convertible, Dodge Avenger
Sun, 23 Feb 2014When Chrysler rolled out the first-generation 200 to replace the Sebring range in 2010, it included replacements for both the sedan and the convertible. The Sebring Coupe, however, was left out of the mix. And now that the second-generation Chrysler 200 is descending upon us, Auburn Hills is paring things down even further. But this time, it's the convertible that reportedly isn't making the cut. Shame, too, since the rendering above shows what could have been quite an attractive droptop.
As our compatriots at Edmunds point out, sales of the convertible model accounted for less than five percent of overall Chrysler 200 sales, and at those numbers, the considerable cost of engineering a new drop-top couldn't be justified. With the Toyota Camry Solara and Volkswagen Eos also gone from the market (well, the VW isn't gone quite yet), the discontinuation of the Chrysler 200 Convertible leaves the affordable convertible segment largely to the sportier likes of the Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro and smaller European offerings like the Mini Cooper and VW Beetle.
The Chrysler 200 Convertible isn't the only derivative being left behind with the new model: so too is the Dodge Avenger. That will leave a glaring hole in the Dodge lineup, with nothing to bridge the gap between the compact Dart and the larger Charger. Whether the Dodge brand has any plans to replace the Avenger with another model, not to be based on the 200, remains to be seen.
Roadkill pits every project car against each other
Sat, 22 Feb 2014The guys behind Motor Trend's monthly Roadkill series have collected nine of their favorite project cars from their videos and pitted them against each other in a battle royale to determine a winner. It's 44 minutes long, but it's completely worth the investment of time.
The cars run the gamut from a 1973 Chevrolet Ramp Truck, a 1975 AMC Pacer and a legitimately impressive 1967 Chevy Camaro, and they are pitted against each other to see which is the fastest around an autocross course. The drivers include Roadkill's two hosts and Motor Trend's Johnny Lieberman and Carlos Lago. It's reminiscent of the best episodes of Top Gear and worth a watch.
So it's the weekend - the perfect time to relax. Grab your preferred beverage, get comfortable and enjoy 44 minutes of some seriously ratty but utterly cool project cars as they are throttled within an inch of their lives (or past it). Scroll down to check out the video.
Subaru Legacy pitted against Roadkill project cars
Fri, 05 Sep 2014There's an evergreen debate among auto enthusiasts about whether they would prefer to have the latest and greatest car of today or a certified classic from yesteryear. What if you had to further define that, though, and the choice was between a brand new 2015 Subaru Legacy or a turbocharged Datsun 240Z with a hatch that wouldn't close? Roadkill aimed to find out that and more in one of its best videos to date.
According to the hosts, Subaru came to them, handed over some money and challenged Roadkill's project cars against its latest Legacy. The result is every bit as good (or better) than any automotive-themed show you could find on television.
Things start simple with a figure-eight race in a rodeo arena with the Subaru taking on Roadkill's 1968 Ford Ranchero, originally built for ice racing. From there the Legacy races a 1968 Dodge Charger with no windows around and off-road rally stage. Finally, the Subie goes head-to-head against the Rotsun, the aforementioned turbocharged 240Z, through an abandoned neighborhood. Plus, there's a bonus drag race challenging them all.
