UP FOR AUCTION: 1956 DODGE CIVILIAN POWER WAGON

VIN#: 83949840

MODEL: PW6-126

PRODUCED IN 1956:    2730

THIS POWER WAGON HAS A CURRENT CLEAR OREGON TITLE AND WAS LAST REGISTERED BY PREVIOUS OWNER IN 2001.

I PURCHASED THIS PW IN NON RUNNING CONDITION AND HAVE TAKEN THE STEPS TO GET HER TO RUN......AND RUN EXTREMELY WELL IT DOES!!

THE PW RUNS EXTREMELY STRONG, HAS GREAT OIL PRESSURE AND MAINTAINS A NORMAL OPERATING TEMPERATURE WITHOUT ANY OVERHEATING. THE RADIATOR HOLDS WATER AND DOES NOT LEAK.  THE ENGINE RUNS SMOOTH AND DOES NOT SMOKE.  THE PW DOES DRIVE BUT THE BRAKING SYSTEM IS NON FUNCTIONING AT THIS TIME AND THE E-BRAKE IS THE ONLY SOURCE OF STOPPING.  THE HIGH AND LOW RANGE ALSO FUNCTION.

HERE IS A LIST OF ITEMS RECENTLY ACCOMPLISHED:

CHANGED THE OIL, SOCK TYPE FILTER,GASKET & DRAIN PLUG WASHER ( EXTRA FILTER & GASKETS INCLUDED).

CURRENTLY THE TRUCK IS RUNNING ON A CLOSED LOOP SYSTEM WITH A MARINE FUEL TANK CONNECTED TO A ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP DESIGNED FOR CARBURETORS.  NEW PLUGS AND BATTERY WERE INSTALLED AS WELL.

PW HAS ORIGINAL PTO WINCH WITH DRIVE ATTACHED.  THERE IS ALSO A HAND CRANK BOOM TYPE WINCH(FORESTRY TRUCK??)

PW HAS EXCELLENT NON DIRECTION MILITARY TYPE TIRES.....5 ON TRUCK AND 2 EXTRA TIRES ON RIMS.  EXTRA BRADEN WINCH WILL GO WITH TRUCK AS WELL AS THE MISC WRENCHES AND MIRRORS SEEN IN PICTURES.

OVERALL THIS IS A VERY SOLID TRUCK....THERE IS SOME RUST AND THE TRUCK IS IN NEED OF A COMPLETE RESTORATION.

THESE OLD POWER WAGONS SURE HAVE ALOT OF CHARACTER AND THEY DEFINITELY DON'T BUILD TRUCKS LIKE THEY USED TO.  AFTER HOW EVER MANY YEARS THIS TRUCK SAT NON-RUNNING, IT DID NOT TAKE MUCH EFFORT TO GET IT GOING AND IS STILL SURPRISING HOW SOLID IT RUNS.  THERE IS A REBUILT TAG ON THE BLOCK BUT CANNOT READ THE INFO AND CAN'T IMAGINE IT WAS DONE ANYTIME IN THE RECENT PAST.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS PRIOR TO BIDDING.  I DO HAVE A VIDEO OF THE ENGINE RUNNING AND THE TRUCK DRIVING IF YOU WOULD LIKE ME TO SEND.

LOCATION OF PW IS BRUSH PRAIRIE WA AND WILL NEED TO BE TRAILORED.

THANK YOU FOR LOOKING AND GOOD LUCK!!

Dodge Viper GTS-R goes back to old-school livery

Fri, 20 Jun 2014

The Dodge Viper may have been around now for over 20 years, but as far as racing achievements go, 2000 was its finest season. That's when it won the Rolex 24 at Daytona, the GTS class trophy at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and its second consecutive title in the American Le Mans Series.
Since then, SRT Motorsports hasn't quite had the same success, withdrawing from Le Mans this year and shedding the Dodge name and its emblematic red and white livery for the SRT badge and a silver snakeskin theme. But now that the Viper is back under the Dodge banner, so too is the racing team returning to its classic livery.
Starting from the six-hour race at Watkins Glen next week, both the No. 91 and No. 93 Viper GTS-Rs will wear the red base color with twin white racing stripes that its more accomplished forebears wore on circuits around the world. And with it, maybe the Viper will return once again to the winner's circle at home and abroad.

Mopar '14 teased, returns to Challenger

Wed, 16 Oct 2013

Every year, Mopar selects one special vehicle from the Chrysler portfolio and creates its own, one-off, special edition. Previously, there was the Mopar '13 Dart, '12 300, '11 Charger and the '10 Challenger, and for 2014, this teaser image shows that the company will be giving the unique treatment to Dodge's muscle coupe yet again.
Mopar has not revealed any details about its '14 Challenger, though the brand's president and CEO, Pietro Gorlier, says that "This limited-edition ride is for muscle-car fans who love high octane and customizable performance." All we know is, it's white, has some blue stripes, and a black (or carbon fiber) rear spoiler.
We'll know more when the Mopar '14 Challenger is revealed at the SEMA show in early November. In the meantime, click the image above to check out the teaser in high resolution, and have a look below for Chrysler's official press blast.

Ralph Gilles responds to Dodge rumors, says brand is 'here to stay'

Fri, 12 Jul 2013

This is why we love Ralph Gilles. While in Italy hanging out with a group of Viper Club members in Europe, the SRT boss took the time to respond to a question directed at him on Instagram in regards to the future of Dodge.
Recent reports have painted a bleak picture for Dodge, but Gilles defended Chrysler's full-line brand by stating that the rumors are, "all rumors, Dodge is here to stay! It may get more focused going forward but not killed!" The idea of a "more focused" Dodge brand could lend some credibility to reports that the Grand Caravan and Durango are on their way out, which would leave Dodge solely as a car, or car-based, automaker.
