NO RESERVE, high bid wins!!!!
Just out of long-term storage
1979 Dodge D150 Adventurer PALOMINO 2wd truck.
It has the following equipment, 318 2bbl engine, 727 auto trans, tilt, dealer installed mopar a/c, am/fm radio, protection package, light package, quad grille, step bumper, 3 point mirrors.
This truck is kind of like a time capsule in some ways, it has 66k original miles on it.
I bought this truck out of IOWA back in 2004 as a survivor truck that was originally purchased by a farmer.
Because of the are that the truck was from, she has some rust.
I drove the truck for about 6 months or so, then parked it because I was commuting a long distance, and did not want the mile to accumulate.
The truck will yard drive with a battery and a small jerry can, the gas in the tank is presumably bad, as it is 10 years old.
When I parked it, the A/C worked very well, as did everything else on the truck.
I did notice that the valve guide seals were begining to leak some, as it was beginning to use some old.
There is still some life left in the old truck, and deserves a restoration.
Truck is all original...including seat.
I have clear CA title for this truck in my name, and ready to sign off to the winner....
The truck will need a new battery, fuel, and will yard drive to go onto a carrier.
The truck is sold with no guaranty and "AS-IS" where is...
Truck is located in Dinuba, CA.
Please don't expect to drive this one away, it needs to be serviced before hand...

Chrysler patents smarter minivan folding seats

Thu, 02 Jan 2014

It's frightening to think of how quickly the mice would have overtaken us if we hadn't stayed one step ahead of them with better mousetraps. We'll never have to worry about that in our relentlessly re-engineered world, though. Case in point: Chrysler has been granted a patent by the US Patent and Trademark Office for an improved design of the already wondrous Stow 'n' Go seating found in the automaker's Town and Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans.
Introduced in 2005, the Stow 'n' Go was improved in 2008, and based on the drawings of this third-generation improvement, the new design appears to allow stowage of the second row of seats without having to move the front-row seats forward as much. It look like it also involves fewer operations and moving parts, with a portion of the seatback being incorporated into the flat floor when the seats are stowed, as opposed to having a completely separate cover.
It's possible that the innovation may appear on the next-generation minivans expected in 2015, but Chrysler isn't commenting on the patent.

Chrysler recalls small number of 2013-2014 cars and trucks over engine debris

Thu, 12 Dec 2013

Chrysler is recalling a small number cars over issues with their 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. The recall, which affects 522 examples of its 2013 Dodge Avenger and Chrysler 200 models, as well as 2014 Jeep Compass and Patriot CUVs has to do with potential debris in the balance shaft bearings.
The abrasive stuff can cause the oil pressure to drop, which could lead to the engine stalling or outright failure. This situation could at best leave drivers stranded and at worst lead to a crash.
Chrysler will begin notifying owners, who will need to report in to have the balance shaft module replaced. All repairs are naturally free of charge. Scroll down for the bulletin from NHTSA.

Chrysler Group moves around execs in wake of recent departure

Tue, 16 Apr 2013

Chrysler is busy shuffling executives around in the wake of Ram head Fred Diaz's departure. The automaker has named Reid Bigland (pictured, right) as Diaz's successor in the role of president and CEO of Ram, though Bigland will continue his duties as the head of US sales and the president and CEO of Chrysler Canada. Bigland first came to Chrysler in 2006 from Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation, so the guy knows a thing or two about trucks.
Meanwhile, Timothy Kuniskis will take over as president and CEO of Dodge. Previously, he served as the head of Fiat in North America and has been with Chrysler in one capacity or another since 1992. His old title now falls to Jason Stoicevich, who will also continue to work as the director of the automaker's California Business Center. Finally, Bruno Cattori will take over as the president and CEO of Chrysler Mexico.
Diaz left his position to take over as a divisional vice president of sales and marketing with Nissan. You can read the full press release on the Chrysler personnel changes below for more information.
