This is a 1953 Dodge B4-B-116 (Long Bed) It is pretty much complete with the exception of a rear bumper. The engine appears complete and turns by hand. I have a complete grill assembly and hood assembly that goes with it. I'm not thrilled to sell it but I don't know when I'll ever get to work on it. I have others for my kids to do. Door glass and windshield need to be replaced but are in one piece for fabricators. Everything is original. The best I can determine, of the 104,000 or so made in '53, less than 2,200 were built this way. It is also the only year for the pilot house that uses the bigger fenders. Frame rust doesn't look like it requires repair. The body has issues of course but with the extra parts there will be plenty of original sheet metal for patching. The bed has a steel plate but underneath is the original oak and rail bed. I'm happy to answer questions.
I have a 1988 long bed Dakota that I was going to shorten the frame and put the body on for a rest-mod. It's got all the running gear and brakes. If interested it's another $180.00 (scrap value)
Buyer must provide shipping or pickup. Vehicle will require powered loading.
There is NO TITLE. It may have been a North Carolina farm truck all it's life. No records of any kind can be found.

11 vehicles from Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas worth watching
Fri, 26 Sep 2014This weekend will see the world's collector car crowds descend on Las Vegas, NV for one of the biggest shows on Barrett-Jackson's popular auction circuit. There are hundreds of vehicles up for bidding, ranging from a brand-new Lamborghini Aventador to a spattering of Art Deco classics and a huge swath of classic muscle cars.
While it's virtually impossible to assemble an inarguable list of the best cars coming during the three-day, 700-plus vehicle auction, we've sifted through the listings for this year's show - it was a tough assignment, we promise - and assembled a list of what we think will be some of the most interesting lots. We'll admit, it's a bit heavy on American iron, but if you browse BJ's listings, you'll come to a similar conclusion. Still, scroll down for our list of what we think will be the most interesting vehicles at the upcoming auction.
Dodge CEO and Gas Monkey Garage dissect the 10-second Challenger Hellcat
Fri, 11 Jul 2014So far, whenever we've seen the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT with its 707-horsepower, supercharged Hellcat V8, the muscle car has been smoking its tires. Dodge is finally proving that the SRT can do more than ruin perfectly good sets of rubber, though. In it's latest video, company CEO Tim Kuniskis hands the Hellcat off to the guys from Gas Monkey Garage to show how quickly the automaker's most powerful model can make it down the drag strip.
Of course, the only fitting contender to race against Dodge's latest top muscle car is its grandpa - a Hemi-powered 1971 Challenger, in this case. Before getting to the main event, the hosts also show off some of the SRT's unique features like the blanks in the grille that feed the intercoolers. We'll go ahead and spoil that the Hellcat makes its pass in the 10-second range, and the video admits the tires on the production version would take just a touch longer to cover the quarter-mile. However, you have to watch film to see just how quick it actually goes. Scroll down to see a classic example of American muscle drag racing against its modern legacy.

Both of America's domestic luxury brands seem to be stuck in neutral.
It's ironic that Cadillac and Lincoln got new bosses within days of each other this month. It's also a commentary on the fact both of America's domestic luxury brands seem to be stuck in neutral.
