Yea, it's got a "HEMI" and yes it's fast. And now you can own one. Wow what a great shop vehicle, swap meet wagon, grocery getter or even a modern day hot rod. Just in is this 06 Magnum R/T. 5.7 liter Hemi V8, automatic tranny with auto stick. Has power windows, locks, seat, mirrors. leather, alloys, keyless entry w/ remote start, moon roof and tow package. New back tires and front are marginal, small tear in front drivers seat otherwise interior is very nice for a 119k mile car. Alloy wheels have finish flaking and there are a few scuffs and scratches as one would expect on a 100k mile 8 year old car,and the chin spoiler is cracked in the middle up underneath so you can't see it. Nice glass, paint still shines nice and it runs super nice. Sold as is where is with no warranties expressed or implied. Please ask questions before bidding as we don't do returns or discounts. Dodge bringing revamped Challenger, Charger to Big Apple
Mon, 07 Apr 2014The 2014 New York Auto Show will be a big one for Dodge, as the brand has announced that refreshed versions of the 2015 Challenger and 2015 Charger will debut at the show. This is a particularly big deal for the two-door Challenger which, visually, has remained unchanged since is burst back onto the scene in 2008 and helped reignite the muscle car wars.
As a sort of hint, this announcement was accompanied by the picture you see above - the Super Bee logo in the Challenger's new instrument cluster. According to Dodge, the New York debut of a new "powertrain combination" - possibly with the high-output Hellcat V8 - will leave enthusiasts "abuzz."
As for the Charger, Dodge is promising a full redesign that should be a significant departure from the blunt, angry looks of the current model. At this point, there's no indication that the Challenger's new powertrain could be fitted to the Charger, although considering how mechanically similar these two vehicles have been, it doesn't seem outside the realm of possibility.

eBay Find of the Day: Viper Defender from '90s TV show
Fri, 24 May 2013As car lovers, it's always hard to find a good television show with decent cars, but what the 1990s show Viper lacked in acting, scripting and plot, it more than made up for with cool cars. For starters, the lead car was a Dodge Viper RT/10, but, on screen, it was able to morph into its "Defender" mode making it an armored coupe with a full arsenal of weapons.
Fortunately, you don't have to be a fan of the bad show to love its lead car, and if you really want one, a Defender is up for auction right now on eBay. According to the listing, this car is the real deal - not a clone - and it comes with a V8 engine (not sure what happened to the V10?) and plenty of swag and memorbilia. No word on its actual asking price, but with a day left and 42 bids already, the reserve has not been met at $133,400. The listing does add that this same car was listed at Mecum back in 2010, but did not get sold, even with a bid of $270,000.
