I have a 2002 Dodge Dakota 4.7 V8 4x4 Quad/Crew cab Sport package for sale. The truck has just under 77,000 miles on it. I purchased the truck March of 2011 and have put only 11,000 miles on it since. Mechanically the truck is very good, no problems and all of the maintenance is up to date. Since I purchased the truck I had the spark plugs changed, fuel injectors and throttle body cleaned, coolant flushed and the thermostat changed, the transmission fluid flushed, the brake fluid flushed, the power steering fluid flushed, the 4x4 fluids changed (to synthetic), the front brakes were replaced, the rear brakes were cleaned and adjusted. The air conditioning works with no problems. The truck needs no mechanical attention.
There is an Undercover rigid tonneau cover for the bed that has new lift shocks. Also, the truck has a factory tow package with factory electric brake connections (7 pin connector with class 4 hitch).
The truck has a few options:
Remote start
Power windows
Power door locks
Leather interior
Auto-Dimming rear view mirror
Heated side mirrors
Premium sound with 6 disc changer (I replaced the factory speakers)
V8
Electric shift on the fly 4x4 (I replaced the transfer case control module)
In channel vent shades
Cruise control
Tilt wheel
Steering wheel radio controls
The only bad is that the paint is faded and the clear-coat is coming off in places, there is rust on the left front fender, the drivers side rear door near the outer corner seam, and also on the passenger front door near the outside corner of the inner seam. There are bumps and scratches as would be expected of a 12-13 year old truck.

Why the Charger Hellcat can't be ordered with a manual transmission
Sun, 16 Nov 2014Fans of truly irreverent amounts of horsepower will find lots to love in the form of the 2015 Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcat models. Both of them send 707 ridiculous horsepower to the rear wheels; the only question is whether you want your absurdity delivered with two or four doors. Oh, and whether or not you want the option of a manual transmission.
If you prefer rowing your own gears, the choice is made for you; there is no manual gearbox option available on the Charger Hellcat, or any Charger model at all, for that matter. Wonder why? Well, besides the fact that almost nobody - sorry, clutch fans, but it's true - would choose to buy a Charger with a manual transmission, that is? The answer, according to an industry insider in a post written on Jalopnik's Opposite Lock forum, is the floorpan.
It's probably not a surprise to most of our readers that the Dodge Challenger and Charger share a large portion of their chassis structure, which is codenamed LX at Chrysler, but there are still some significant differences under the skin due to the shorter wheelbase and two-door coupe bodyshell of the Challenger, as opposed to the sedan shape of the Charger. One of the differences is the floorpan, the huge chunk of sheetmetal that makes up the floor of the car and props up such essential items as the car's seats.
eGarage interviews a couple with 65 Vipers
Thu, 12 Sep 2013Owning multiple vehicles can be a hassle worth enjoying if you're willing to spend the time and the money required to acquire and maintain them. But when it's hard to make ends meet while underused valuable hunks of metal, plastic and rubber sit happily taking up garage space, journeys into the depths of other people's well-developed automotive obsessions will either bring you and your cars closer together, or compel you to sell them off before you become one of those fanatics. A recent video by eGarage is one of those journeys, and it's not for the faint of heart: D'Ann and Wayne Rauh own 65 Dodge and SRT Vipers in a collection of automobiles that exceeds 100.
We're not sure if the couple has developed heat-resistant calves from stepping over Viper door sills made burning-hot by side-exhaust pipes, but we wouldn't be surprised if they did. We did learn that their obsession with the no-holds-barred sports car started in 2006 with a trip to a dealership to buy just one Viper, which goes to show how innocently car obsessions can start. But the Rauhs seem to be doing just fine - perhaps better - 64 more Vipers later.
Watch the video below for the full story and to see what eGarage claims is the world's largest Viper collection.
2015 Dodge Challenger Drag Pak previewed
Fri, 29 Aug 2014Dodge and Mopar have never strayed far from success in drag racing, be it on run-what-you-brung nights at the local strip or at the highest levels of the sport. Hoping to both add to that heritage and capitalize on some of the media spotlight that's shown so brightly on the brand of late, Dodge has given us our first look at the 2015 Mopar Challenger Drag Pak test car.
Though this first iteration doesn't make use of the 707-horsepower Hellcat engine, it seems to be a pretty formidable racing package. Starting with a stock '15 Challenger, Mopar adds a full roll cage built to National Hot Rod Association specs. Rubber front and back is drag racing-ready as well, with 28x4.5-inch tires in the front, and fat 30x9-inch tires out back - all from Hoosier.
Powering the beast is a massive 426-cubic-inch (7.0-liter) Hemi Race V8, with output levels that are still unspecified. A Chrysler 727 automatic transmission connects up to a racing style shift lever, with integral line lock.
