1999 Dodge Dakota 4x4 auto, V6 magnum. Needed a bigger truck so I am selling this one. It starts right up every time, runs good, 4x4 works perfectly. It needs some general maintenance like oil change (hasn't been done in a while), and the tailpipe has a break in it where it joins the muffler so it's a bit loud. It has an oil leak, but we haven't had it checked out to see where it's from. It goes through a quart of oil ever couple of weeks, we just add more and go.
The front fender is dented out from a fender bender, it's mostly cosmetic but did knock out the fog light and bust the reflector. The tires are still in decent shape, they are Buckshots (nice tires) with the nice mud tread. It's always been a reliable truck, I'm selling low because it needs a lot of little maintenance fixes and it's an older truck. Let me know if you have questions! |

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles recalls nearly 750k vehicles in two campaigns
Thu, 16 Oct 2014Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is recalling a total of 747,817 vehicles in the US in two separate campaigns recently added to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration database.
The first one covers about 434,581 units of the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, Challenger, Durango, and Jeep Grand Cherokee from the 2011-2014 model years with electric hydraulic power steering, the 3.6-liter V6 engine and a 160 amp alternator, according to FCA. In the affected vehicles, it's possible for the alternator to fail without warning and possibly cause the car to stall. According to the documentation submitted to NHTSA, the automaker began investigating the problem in August 2014 and has found possible evidence of one crash caused by the failures but no known injuries.
Customers will begin receiving notification about the recall next month, and obviously the repairs will be done at no cost to them.
Consumer Reports says these are the worst new cars of 2014
Thu, 27 Feb 2014Consumer Reports has announced its annual list of worst vehicles, a cringe-inducing contrast to its list of top vehicles. Ignominiously leading the way in 2014 is Chrysler, which has a staggering seven models listed.
Jeep nearly sweeps the small SUV segment by itself, with its Compass, Patriot and 2.4-liter version of the new Cherokee, while the only midsize sedans listed by CR were the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger. The new Dodge Dart and the Dodge Journey round out CR's condemnation of Chrysler.
Ford is taking heat as well, with the Taurus, Edge and their counterparts from Lincoln all listed as the worst vehicles in their respective segments. Toyota doesn't fare much better, with its Lexus IS, Scion iQ and tC also making the list.
