Up for bid is a SOLID 1968 charger. This is a great and what i would consider an Easy restoration canidate . This is a very complete car that was running and driving about 6 months ago. I have know about this car for the last 10 years and it hasd been running and mantained up untill a few months back when the tranny when out (which is out of the car and on the back seat) at that time the car was parked until i got it in my possesion. This car has been a southern car its whole life that i have gathered and is VERY VERY SOLID as far as these cars go , front floor pans are great back ones have some rust , frame and body are in very good shape minor surface rust around front and back window , door jams and posts are great shape .Trunk pan is great and does have a stainless fuel cell with electric fuel pump in it. Overall the body and frame are great and you will be hard pressed to find another one in this shape especially for what i have the reserve set at. The car does have a full interior minus headliner . The motor wouldnt take much to get running would need new carb fuel lines etc.. Like i said earler trans in on back seat and I  believe is a 727 . All glass is good and rolls up and down just fine . like i said this would make a easy resto and have a 40 to 50 thousand dollar car in the end .  all tires hold air and will be easy to load on a trailer or shipping truck . ANY other questions PLEASE feel free to call my cell @662-719-3694 and my name is jack westerfield so much easier if call i hate having to check ebay for questions be it a quick call or an hour i dont car i love old cars and trucks and want this one in the right hands to keep it alive !! . 500 dallar deposit due at end of auction full payment within 7 days . i do resrve the right to end this auction early . good luck and god bless

If car sells i will hold the car in a safe place until pick up and will help in anyway i can with putting on a truck to be shipped. thanks jack

Brits recreate iconic Bullitt chase scene

Tue, 13 May 2014

Recreating the famous chase scene from Bullitt has become almost an art form in its own right. We've seen it done in a music video, with scale models and even in commercials. There are few films that are as defined by a single scene as the 1968 classic. Even if you don't know a single beat of the plot, the Highland Green Ford Mustang racing a Dodge Charger through the hilly streets of San Francisco is famous. It's so well known that the Silverstone Classic has created a homage to promote its celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang at this year's event in July.
Filmed around the famous UK circuit, the short film generally gets the key points of the scene right. It even has a green Volkswagen Beetle that keeps reappearing, as in the movie. Unfortunately, its Steve McQueen stand-in looks a little too old for the role. While the video shortens the chase considerably, it's still great to see these '60s behemoths leaning and sliding around the track. Scroll down for a touch of nostalgia thanks to one of the greatest scenes ever in cinema - we've got both the recreation and the original chase seen from the movie waiting for you.

NHTSA investigating 110,000 Ram 2500s and 3500s, one death alleged

Fri, 23 May 2014

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has launched an investigation focusing on 110,000 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups from model years 2004 to 2006. One death has already been reported, according to NHTSA, due to a potential fault with the clutch interlocks on manual-transmission versions of the heavy duty pickup.
According to the report, these trucks can be started without depressing the clutch. There have been three reports so far, and as we mentioned above, one very sad incident seems to have resulted in the death of a child.
"One complaint involved an incident that occurred when a child was able to enter the vehicle and start the ignition without depressing the clutch. The vehicle then moved forward striking another child resulting in a fatality," NHTSA said in the investigation bulletin, which you can view below.

QB says University of Alabama offered him a Corvette to play football

Fri, 16 May 2014

The University of Alabama Crimson Tide football team could be in some hot water, following a pair of posts on social media.
The first post was sure to raise a few eyebrows on its own. It's an Instagram of sophomore running back Derrick Henry standing in front of his new Dodge Challenger (we're guessing it's an R/T based on the fender stripes). Complete with a custom set of wheels, the image was enough to trigger more than a few questions about where an unemployed student-athlete came up with the money for such a purchase. Now, this could be harmless. Henry, flush with a full-ride to Bama could have convinced his parents to get him something nice with his college fund.
The second post, though, is a straight-up accusation. It comes from former West Virginia Mountaineer and current CFL quarterback Pat White, who posted the following on his Facebook page.
