My Pride and Joy!  Up for sale is my 2013 Dodge Challenger SRT8.  Purchased brand new just last year, I rarely drive it, as you can tell from the extremely low miles (just under 1800)

With kid #2 just arriving, I don't have the time to drive it, and it deserves to be out on the road.

I am the only person that drives this car, so it has been consistently driven and maintained.  I don't beat on it, I avoid pot holes, and you won't see me street racing.  I don't need to show off, it turns enough heads at the stoplight.  But when you hit that gas, WOW!!!!

When the day is done, and every day, it is put in my garage with the car cover on it.  It has been driven by a non-smoker and the interior is showroom clean.

I purchased this Challenger with the optional Customer Preferred Package 22X, which includes:

  • Interior Appearance Group by Mopar
    • T-Grip Shifter by Mopar
    • Bright Door Sill Guards by Mopar
    • Premium Floor Mats with Logo by Mopar
    • Car Cover by Mopar
  • Harmon Kardon Audio Group
    • 18 Premium Speakers including Subwoofer
    • 900-watt Amplifier
  • 5-Speed Automatic Transmission
    • Steering Wheel Mounted Paddle Shifters
    • AutoStick Automatic Transmission
    • Tip Start
    • 3.06 Rear Axle Ratio
    • Remote Start System
  • Uconnect 730N CD/DVD/MP3/HDD/NAV
    • 40 GB Hard Drive with 20 GB Available
    • GPS Navigation
    • Sirius XM Real Time Traffic
    • Sirius XM Travel Link
Stripe Kit also included with this Challenger.

I will make this 100% clear.  I absolutely LOVE this vehicle and have taken very good care of it.  I AM NOT desperate to sell this vehicle.  So if you have any dreams of coming at me with Rough Book Values and Low-Ball offers, move on to the next listing and good luck.  I bought this vehicle as a reward for HARD WORK, please make sure if you are the next owner that you take care of it the same as I have.

Diesel Power finds the ultimate modified oil-burner

Sat, 24 Aug 2013

For nine years, Diesel Power magazine has run the Diesel Power Challenge, this year's grindfest being "a week-long torture test that features seven events, nine trucks, 8,000 horsepower, and nearly 15,000 pound-feet of torque." The road to being crowned "the most powerful truck" starts with a dyno run, and then continues through the completion of a CDL-style obstacle course, an eighth-of-a-mile drag race while towing a 10,000-pound trailer, a quarter-mile drag race without a trailer, a fuel economy test in the mountains and finally a sled-pulling test through a 300-foot-long packed-mud pit.
What kind of trucks get into such a fight? Last year's winner, for instance - who upgraded his truck this year to prove he didn't "luck into the win" - drives a 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty with a 6.4-liter Power Stroke V8 upgraded with a custom intake, Elite Diesel triple turbos and a two-stage nitrous system. Another competitor has a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 powered by a 5.9-liter Cummins inline-six, upgraded with Garrett turbos, dual-stage nitrous, a seven-inch exhaust stack and twin fans built into the bed to cool the Sun Coast Omega transmission. The numbers on that truck: 1,255 horsepower, and 2,063 pound-feet of torque at the wheels. Naturally, as the image above might suggest, things don't always end well.
You'll find all five videos covering this years challenge below. A scene in the dyno video sums it all up perfectly: a competitor leaves his nitrous on too long and the crew is treated to some ominous poppings, he leans out the window, throws both hands up and shouts, "Amer'ca!"

Indications of 825 hp and emissions issues for Hellcat called 'speculation' by Chrysler

Tue, 16 Sep 2014

The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is probably one of the hottest cars of the moment mostly because of its insane, 707-horsepower supercharged V8. However, there are conflicting reports coming out that the powerplant might be having problems with its emissions compliance and may be capable of even more power.
Jalopnik says that an unnamed source within Fiat Chrysler Automobiles told it that the Hellcat was having problems meeting emissions standards at its 707-horsepower tune. The person claimed that the automaker has been testing the V8 with different types of sensors, possibly to make it a bit cleaner in the future. Autoblog spoke to SRT spokesperson Dan Reid, and he said about the claimed poor emissions, "It's totally speculation."
The source also claimed that the Hellcat had been dynoed at a monumental 825 horsepower, internally. Based on the other rumor, though, it's hard to imagine the engine being emissions compliant like that. Autoblog also asked Reid about this speculation about more power and was told, "They are totally speculating about that."

Chrysler recalling 49K Chargers for headlight components

Fri, 14 Mar 2014

Chrysler has issued a recall for about 49,375 2011 and 2012 Dodge Chargers with halogen headlamps due to a problem with the lights. The automaker says that there could be an issue with the jumper harness and other related components.
The automaker says that 43,450 cars are affected in the US, 2,850 in Canada, 375 in Mexico and 2,700 outside of North America. The vehicles will have their headlight assemblies, including the jumper harnesses and bulbs, inspected and potentially replaced. Dodge says that its engineers investigated reports of that were similar to what was found when it recalled about 10,000 police Chargers in 2012 for overheating light components. There have been no injuries or accidents related to fault, according to Chrysler.
The automaker will be in contact with affected owners, and schedule the service. Naturally, any repairs will be free of charge. Scroll down for the company's full announcement.
