This cars production number is a single digit (NUMBER 8), one of the first few made. Only 255 were made with a blue stripe. Only 95 built with a six speed trans with Hurst Pistol Grip Shifter. Engine is a 5.7 Litre 390 Horse Power Hemi with functional cold air system. This vehicle is equipped with the Super Drag Pack options which includes Drag Pack Hood scoop, hood pins and clips, high performance suspension, performance steering w/variable displacement pump,3:92 geared heavy duty differential and special body bracing in front and rear.The color is Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl, only color for these Mopar 10's. Car has Crise Control, AM/FM CD, A/C, Power Windows and locks, light package, console, rear folding arm rest,folding rear seat and stainless steel sill plates. Has special leather steering wheel, special Katzkin leather seats, Special blue stitching throughout interior,with specialmopar badging inside and out. also has special color 5 spoke rims with Mopar 10 badging. Chrysler recalling 278,222 trucks and SUVs over bad rear axles
Thu, 14 Feb 2013Chrysler has issued a recall of 278,222 light trucks and sport utility vehicles here in the United States. The reason: bad rear axles. Specifically, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the rear axle pinion nut may lack a necessary adhesive patch, which could cause the nut to loosen. If this happens, the axle can lock up, which could cause all sorts of havoc on the road.
This is an expansion of the rear axle recall announced in October of last year, where 44,300 Ram 1500 and Dodge Dakota models were being called in. At that time, 12 accidents had been reported due to the faulty axle pinion nut.
Affected vehicles include Ram 1500 trucks from the 2009 to 2012 model years, Dodge Dakota models from the 2009 to 2011 model years, and both the Chrysler Aspen and Dodge Durango SUV twins, both from the 2009 model year only.

The car will be on display this weekend as well at Barrett-Jackson's Hot August Nights auction in Reno.

Through June of 2014, the NADA notes that the Corvette has rung up 17,744 sales, handily besting the Porsche 911 and positively spanking the SRT Viper. Of course, you're sitting there thinking, "Corvette is outselling the much more expensive Porsche and Viper. Sky blue, water wet." But what's impressive here is just how thoroughly the Chevrolet is beating its two rivals, with this data serving as a testament to just how popular the seventh-generation sports car has become.
So far this year, Porsche has managed to move 5,169 911s, according to NADA. Considering that the base model starts at nearly $15,000 more than the most heavily optioned Stingray, and that Porsche owners have a vast, expensive options catalogue to select from, Stuttgart's sales are still plenty impressive in relation to the nearly 18,000 Corvettes sold.
