I could go on and on and I'm sure there are things I am forgetting - will add to the list as we go, but the car really does speak for itself.  It's not a 'professional' build like for ex: Mr. Norms 5.7 Cuda conversions.

Here it is!  A very tasteful brainstorm idea to take an SRT-8 Challenger and bring in alot of custom and 71-original touches to pay tribute the '71 Cuda!  Let me start by saying that I have enjoyed doing all of this and wish to continue to do so (one in every color if I had my way) - I am putting this one up for sale, but by no means is it a 'fire-sale', so please don't bother with offers.  Additionally, those who view this vehicle/auction and are diehard modern Challenger or old-school Cuda enthusiasts and think this is a travesty - move on....I do not need negative comments.  And yes, I know it is a Challenger and will always be a Challenger - it doesn't have 71-correct quarter panel bodylines, I know Plymouth is no longer around, I know there is no such thing as a 'Dodge' Cuda, etc etc.  I've heard it all and I know all that is DIFFERENT between this and an actual '71 Cuda.  I have owned several 70-74 Cudas and I enjoyed them - I also think the modern Challenger is just a plain all-out COOL car 'out-of-the box'!  I love both eras and this was a compromise to have the best of both worlds without breaking the bank or having to keep one of them in storage.

Small backstory on this beauty.....I bought this SRT out of Texas when it was 1.5 yrs old from a gentleman who used it for (of all things) - a commuter car!  So, it had almost 31k true highway miles on it.  I have only put 4k miles on it since and has been 'caught' in the rain just once.  Needless to say, always stored and never seen bad weather is the case here!  I think this car is cool as h*ll, and I hope since you're reading this far into it, that you think it's just as cool.  However, I didn't put it up for sale so that I can give up all the details involved with the project to help you swipe ideas, or list out suppliers I've used or how I fabricated something.
Buy-It-Now price is firm as I said.  Not interested in trades except for partial trade on the following:  SRT8 Challengers in B5 Blue, Detonator Yellow, Plum Crazy Purple or possibly Green w/Envy.
The sale is AS-IS, no warranty offered or available.  Deposit is non-refundable and timelines of the sale WILL be strictly adhered to.  If you can't complete the sale, don't start the purchase.  Have funds ready to go!  NO DREAMERS or WINDOW SHOPPERS.  A serious buyer leaves a deposit and follows through, no viewings just because 'youre close' to where the car is and have a Saturday to come over and daydream.
Vehicle runs and drives just as it should and has NEVER been beaten or raced - (it only looks like it's been a racer - lol.) - I am in my mid-40s and previous owner was in his early 50s, so it wasn't driven like it was stolen.  Spirited driving only.  Vehicle is used and expect imperfections as such, (but it doesn't win trophies without being in beautiful condition!)

Thanks for looking and good luck in your search....if you're searching for unique - you found it.  Please keep inquiries from serious BUYERS only!  Will work with transporters, exporters welcome!

Dodge lets us drive 100-years' worth of history [w/videos]

Thu, 03 Jul 2014

A raft of important production models from the last hundred years were available for me to either drive or ride in.
Dodge is 100 years old this year. So, as happened on Ford's recent centennial, the 50-year birthday of the Porsche 911, and others, the company has an excuse to trot out the highlights of its history next to its upcoming model lineup, and declare that "these are the fruits of the Dodge Boys' tree whose roots have grown strong." Or something like that. Never so hampered by marketing skepticism that I'll pass up the opportunity to burn someone else's rubber, I was happy to drive out to Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester Hills, MI - former grand estate of the Dodge family - to hear the spiel.

Dodge Challenger spied exercising supercharged Hellcat Hemi V8

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

One of the prime complaints against the Dodge Challenger is that, even in SRT8 guise, its 470 horsepower is responsible for hauling over 4,200 pounds of vehicle. For comparison, the 420 hp in the Ford Mustang GT only has to deal with 3,618 lbs. Things only get worse from there, as the higher-performance variants of both the Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro are far more powerful than an SRT8 without adding on much heft.
So what is Chrysler to do? The correct answer is add a whole lot more grunt to its hefty two-door and even the odds. That's where the all-new Hellcat engine comes into play. We reported on this engine in May, and suggested that the Hellcat, a supercharged powerplant based on a 6.4-liter V8, would easily generate 500 to 570 hp and could likely arrive boasting more than 600 ponies.
Chrysler's ace in its sleeve has now been spied testing, with a number of Hellcat-equipped Challengers running the potent new engine both in more urbanized areas and under the sun of Death Valley. The hoods on these testers have been raised to accommodate the engine, and that camouflage over the fascias of these prototypes is there to hide a larger air intake. We also note what appears to be a new split grille under wraps. As for power output, our spies are now suggesting a Viper-equalling 640 hp from the Hellcat-equipped cars.

Coal-rolling Ram dually does tandem beer-shooting burnout with ATV in bed

Fri, 25 Jul 2014

Sometimes a video comes around that just makes you shake your head in disbelief. Take for example these guys from Nebraska in their dually diesel flatbed Ram, doing a smoky burnout. Lighting up the tires is nothing new, but these folks take things a step further by having another guy on an ATV in bed that is also smoking the tires. Finally, people are sitting on a couch in the bed taking the whole show in, as beer cans shoot out of the stacks.
There have been several stories recently about the scourge of rolling coal, i.e., diesel trucks modified to lay down a thick, black smoke screen, sometimes for vaguely political reasons. Whatever your opinion is on it, breathing in this much nasty stuff isn't exactly great for your health. Of course, it turns out that burning rubber is pretty awful, too. Both diesel and tire emissions contain cancer-causing Group 1 carcinogens. Combine them with the cigarette smoking here, and these guys are an oncologist's nightmare. Scroll down to take it all in for yourself. Warning, there is a little explicit language.
