The handicap conversion was done by Braun, by far the most quality conversion company out there.  The floor has been lowered 10" inches to give the opening over 52" of headroom.  The ramp folds in and out automatically by the press of a button.  There are several tie downs in the floor for many different configurations to secure the chair.  Both the driver seat and passenger seat are removable so a chair can ride up front as well.  A new lift motor was just installed on the ramp ($800).  The van also has the kneeling feature which works great to reduce the grade on the ramp.

The van runs and drives perfect.  Cold air, no noises or mechanical issues.  The motor was just replaced along with the front end being rebuilt including new half shafts and suspension, struts, etc.  The only thing it needs is a new windshield b/c the one in it is cracked.  I could probably have that done by the time you come to pick it up.  This is a non smoker, no pets, clean van.  It has been very well taken care of. NO accidents.

Shipping is available, many of our van get shipped within a week.  Just call for a quote.  If you would like to fly in, I can pick you up from the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport anytime!!

Thanks for looking.

40+ cars that barely avoid the gas guzzler tax

Thu, 24 Jul 2014

The Gas Guzzler schedule, with mpg ratings and charges that haven't changed since 1991, lays out which fuel-swillers owe what to Uncle Sam.
I started thinking about the "Gas Guzzler Tax" - considerably less well known as The Energy Tax Act of 1978 - when I was driving Dodge's new Challenger SRT Hellcat last week. Unsurprisingly for a car that can burn 1.5 gallons of gas per minute at max tilt, theoretically able to empty a full tank of premium in about 13 minutes, the Hellcat will be subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax schedule when it goes on sale.

Chrysler killing off the 200 Convertible, Dodge Avenger

Sun, 23 Feb 2014

When Chrysler rolled out the first-generation 200 to replace the Sebring range in 2010, it included replacements for both the sedan and the convertible. The Sebring Coupe, however, was left out of the mix. And now that the second-generation Chrysler 200 is descending upon us, Auburn Hills is paring things down even further. But this time, it's the convertible that reportedly isn't making the cut. Shame, too, since the rendering above shows what could have been quite an attractive droptop.
As our compatriots at Edmunds point out, sales of the convertible model accounted for less than five percent of overall Chrysler 200 sales, and at those numbers, the considerable cost of engineering a new drop-top couldn't be justified. With the Toyota Camry Solara and Volkswagen Eos also gone from the market (well, the VW isn't gone quite yet), the discontinuation of the Chrysler 200 Convertible leaves the affordable convertible segment largely to the sportier likes of the Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro and smaller European offerings like the Mini Cooper and VW Beetle.
The Chrysler 200 Convertible isn't the only derivative being left behind with the new model: so too is the Dodge Avenger. That will leave a glaring hole in the Dodge lineup, with nothing to bridge the gap between the compact Dart and the larger Charger. Whether the Dodge brand has any plans to replace the Avenger with another model, not to be based on the 200, remains to be seen.

2015 Chrysler 200 sheds its frumpy past, V6 comes with AWD standard

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

The 2015 200 is the automotive equivalent of an ugly duckling turning into a swan.
In 2004, Chrysler's fullsize offerings were the lamentable Concorde and 300M - a pair of bloated, plasticky barges that hadn't received significant attention since before the dawn of the new millennium. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, Chrysler unveiled its new 300, which rode on the bones of a Mercedes-Benz E-Class and had the look of a Rolls-Royce with a thug-life upbringing. It was cool.
