Up for sale is my personal 2005 Crossfire Convertible.  I purchased this car to be used as a second car/weekend toy.  I have enjoyed this car for a little over a year and now it is time to sell it due to other interests.  This is my personal car and it is registered, insured, and titled to me.  It currently is registered and insured and can be test driven.  The Vehicle as stated on its original MSRP Window Sticker is a 2005 Crossfire LTD Roadster.  The options listed are Premium Two-tone Leather, and 18/19 inch wheels.  The MSRP on this car new was $39,555.  The car is black with black and grey leather interior.

If you are looking at this car, you probably know the features of these cars and how nice of a car this is for the money.  You are basically getting Mercedes Benz engineering for Chrysler money.  When this vehicle was designed and built, it shared many components of the Mercedes Benz SLK.  When you drive this car, you feel that the car is a well-built high-end like car.  I enjoy putting the top down and cruising with it.  It’s also, not a common car that you see one of on every block.  It has unique styling and character.

This car is problem free and has no known issues.  I purchased this car over a year ago from a dealer and the car was thoroughly checked out by the dealer when it was purchased, and I have kept current on the maintenance and am a conscious owner who keeps up to date with my cars.  The car has a lot of life left in the brake pads, as well as it’s Continental tires which match on all 4.  You can see the tire thread left in one of the pictures.

This is a very clean car, that has a great shine with no paint fading.  The body of the car is in great shape, as well as the rims on the car.  The interior is in great shape as well too.  You can see this in the pictures.  Everything in the car works as it should.

I encourage you to make an appointment to come see the car prior to buying or placing an offer, so you are well aware that the car is what you want and satisfies your expectations.  I say this, because the car is a 2005 and has 75,000 miles (mileage can be slightly more as I use the car on weekends).  Although it is in excellent condition for its usage and age, it is not cosmetically perfect.  I want to make sure that you see it as nice as I do when you buy it.

This car will make the new owner proud and happy and provide enjoyable service.  Buy it now and enjoy it until the season is over because it’s a true pleasure to put the top down, forget your worries, and go.

Please review payment terms and conditions.  This vehicle cannot be picked up or shipped until all payment has cleared in full.  I will accept cash and or bank check (I will need to verify check).  As is, where is sale in accordance with NYS Private Party Vehicle Sale.

Please contact me with any questions.  Frank (516) 851-0724.

Thanks for Looking.

Share price falls on skepticism of Chrysler-Fiat five-year plan

Thu, 08 May 2014

Following this week's Fiat Chrysler extravaganza, where the Italian-American manufacturer announced its plans for the next five years, the Autoblog staff was cautiously optimistic of the company's future. Investors? Not so much.
Fiat saw its shares tumble 12 percent in Wednesday's trading, falling from 8.67 euros ($12.06 at today's rates) to 7.44 euros ($10.35) as of this writing, with blame partly going to the Italian half of the FCA marriage, which recorded a pretty significant drop in profits during the first quarter of this year.
The plan, which will cost around $77 billion over the next several years, is facing criticism from investors thanks in part to a 1.4-percent drop in Fiat's first-quarter profits, to 622 million euros ($862 million). That figure is also short of Bloomberg analysts' projections, which predicted $1.18 billion in profits before taxes, interest and one-time items.

How a Chrysler New Yorker rally car turned father and son into best friends

Thu, 10 Jul 2014

Cars have a weird way of bringing fathers and sons together. You might not want to talk to your dad (or son) about politics, but if you can get him into a conversation about 1950s automotive design, then you can chat for hours. The latest video from Petrolicious looks at how Jonathan Auerbach and his dad bonded through racing in long-distance rallies in an absolutely brutish 1951 Chrysler New Yorker.
The Auerbachs have over 10,000 miles in competition on this behemoth of a Chrysler. It packs a 354-cubic-inch (5.8-liter) hemi V8 with Weber carbs under the hood, and driving it looks more akin to piloting a ship than any kind of on-road vehicle. The New Yorker can take a pounding and just keep going, too. Jonathan says that they hit two deer during one event, and the only damage to the car was some missing trim up front.
The next goal is to prep the car for the arduous Peking to Paris Rally. The big Chrysler should be quite the sight when it rolls across the finish line in France. Scroll down to hear this poignant story about a father and son becoming best friends while racing an American classic. You might want to have a tissue handy, if you're close to your dad, though.

Marchionne says Fiat Chrysler can make 6 million cars per year

Tue, 01 Apr 2014

The combined Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will see its production capacity increase from a projected 4.6 million in 2014 to 6 million units once it completes its integration, according to statements made by FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne.
"With the initiatives we will announce in May, six million is accessible," Marchionne said during a Fiat shareholders' meeting in Turin, according to The Detroit News. Marchionne is aiming to complete the merger between the Turin, Italy-based Fiat and the Auburn Hills, MI-based Chrysler by the end of this year.
Increasing production by 1.4 million units is no small order, particularly when combined Fiat and Chrysler sales have increased only modestly in the past few years - only 4.4 million units were sold in 2013, and while 4.6 million is projected for 2014, 4.5 million is also a distinct possibility. Six million units per year has been Marchionne's self-imposed goal for the combined automaker, according to The News, claiming that FCA would need to crest that point to achieve profitability.
