I purchased this car new 12 months and just over 12,400 miles ago. In that time, as you can see in the pictures, it has used just over 40 gallons of gas! I am getting just over 300 miles per gallon, and have only put gas in it once since June. I will try to find the original window sticker for it, because I believe it stickered for right around $45,000. I believe it has every option offered except the premium paint color (my wife has that- the pearl white color). These are fantastic cars, and now have won the highest customer satisfaction of any car made the last two years. I bought it for the tax credit, which I have claimed on my taxes but fell in love with  the car. So much so, I bought a second one for my wife 5 days later. She drives longer distances than me, so her engine comes on more frequently, and she gets a measly 130mpg compared to my 300+. Gas hog.

I added a receiver hitch to the car so that I could put a bike rack on it for 4 bikes. I will be leaving the hitch on the car, as shown in one of the pictures. I would keep the car, but I am a business owner now and need vans to haul my equipment. It is going to be hard to go back to filling up at gas stations all the time, particularly with gas prices spiking recently.

If you haven't driven one, you may not know how pleasant the experience is. No shifting, just smooth, powerful acceleration. Faster than most cars. Complete silence. Because of the regenerative braking, the alloy wheels rarely need cleaning. The oil has about 90% life left- after driving for a year! It has a huge hard drive, On-star for 3 years no charge. Satelite radio (subscription needed) and Bose audio. Remarkably long factory warranty.  Perforated leather heated seats. Bluetooth....you name it.

Feel free to come see the car in Anderson SC- just off I-85 @ exit 14. 2 hours from Atlanta or Charlotte. The car is as described. A $45,000 dollar car, one year old. So it isn't brand new, but expect it to look darn close. It might have a tiny superficial scratch or two...a few bugs on the front bumper....but really it is as the pictures show- a very clean, one owner, middle-aged owner beautiful car. A 45,000 car that might go for 17,000 less than that on eBay.
................................
Just found the original sticker. $45,170. Every option except 2 tone paint. Navigation, DVD ROM, 30 GB hard drive, Leather everything, heated seats, rear camera, parking assist, polished wheels Bose premium audio. $5000 in options. Also, never smoked in, wrecked, etc. 100,000 mile warranty. 8 year/100,000 battery warranty! SC title in hand.

Check out my feedback- I have sold many high dollar items over the last 14 years with 100% perfect feedback. Bid in confidence.

Joe Flacco wins C7 Corvette along with MVP honors

Mon, 04 Feb 2013

As part of a longstanding tradition, the MVP of Super Bowl XLVII, Joe Flacco, quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, was given a new car directly after the game and trophy celebrations. For 2013, that car is a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, and it was presented to Flacco by Rick Flick of Banner Chevrolet, a dealership in New Orleans that was wiped out by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 before returning to prominence as the only Chevy dealer in Orleans Parish.
Last year, Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning took home a 2012 Corvette GS Centennial Edition. Manning also won in 2008, when he selected a Cadillac Escalade Hybrid as his reward. In 2011, quarterback Aaron Rodgers accepted the keys to a Camaro convertible.
Though we're most definitely an auto-obsessed group, we did watch the Big Game along with nearly everyone else in America. And we've gotta say, as if winning the Super Bowl and receiving the Tiffany-designed Pete Rozelle Trophy wasn't enough for the multi-millionaire MVP athletes, a brand-new C7 seems like an awfully generous prize. 2015 Chevy Tahoe gets Police Patrol Vehicle treatment

Thu, 07 Nov 2013

That was fast. Mere days after showing a Police Concept based on the 2015 Tahoe at the SEMA Show, Chevrolet has announced that it will build a PPV model based on the SUV to do battle with the Ford Police Interceptor Utility (Explorer) and Dodge Durango Special Service.
You'll recall that the Tahoe has been police staple for several years, predating both the Explorer and Durango police variants, so the fact that the new model would spawn a police variant is hardly surprising. Like the civilian model, the 2015 PPV benefits from a more efficient 5.3-liter, direct-injection V8 that pumps out 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. It also features more high-strength steel, offering better crash protection, on top of optional safety items like lane departure warning, forward collision alert and a Safety Alert Seat.
The press release is rather light on police-specific items, aside from the auxiliary battery, which keeps the myriad of electronics in a modern police car running even when the engine isn't. Lightbars, 17-inch steel wheels on Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires and a push bar round out the mods for the Tahoe PPV. The cabin features a revised center console and room for laptop and other equipment mounts.
