Up for auction I have a 1998 Chevy Venture van. The van has very miles only 94k ! It has lots of new parts including all four struts and a fresh tune up. As you can see in the pictures the van is in very good shape. The interior is like new. This van has dual sliding doors which is great for loading up the kids. It also has 3rd row buckets allowing seven passengers with lots of room. There are not many flaws in the body except on the right side below the sliding door is a small rust spot in the rocker panel. This can be fixed easily. Now the only other problem with the van is the transmission. If you let the van warm up 3-5 minutes you can drive it anywhere with no problem. If you start it up and try to take off right away it will not move. My transmission guy told me that there is a common problem with these vans. It is an internal seal that leaks inside the trans when the fluid is cold. Once the fluid heats up the seal swells up and holds. He said you can fix the problem or drive it like this forever and it will be fine. I am not a trans guy. I do auto parts. I have driven this van 50 miles back and forth to work and my wife has driven it. It really does run great. I only want to be as honest as possible. First 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray spotted crashed in the wild
Tue, 12 Feb 2013This restyled blue 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is wearing manufacturer plates, and it appears to be the same one seen around the internet in various pictures lately. This crash is likely not part of the Chevrolet testing regimen, however. Digital Corvettes forum member gpetry posted the shot with a note: "got this picture e-mailed from a friend in Arizona last week..." No circumstances are given, other than the incident occurred in the thick of a set of curvy roads, and the coupe ping-ponged off a guardrail and into the rock wall. Hopefully everyone involved in the incident walked away.
It may not be a pretty thing to see, a crashed sports car that's not even available for sale yet, but rest easy. Many pre-production cars are used for development and then unceremoniously crushed and scrapped, anyway. If that's the case here, that makes this wrecked 'Vette less of a tragedy and more of a case of exceptional efficiency.

Fri, 24 Aug 2012It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).
