This 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer SS AWD is a 1 owner vehicle with a good service history and no accident damage. Finished in its original White over Black leather, this is an extremely clean example. The exterior is excellent, with only the front right corner of the front bumper showing minimal scuffing and very light cracking...not even detectable in the pictures. Other than that, the paint is almost perfect save for a few insignificant marks in a couple of places. Please remember this is a used vehicle, and as such, some signs of use should be expected, but again overall this is a beautiful truck. The interior is in excellent condition as well, with minimal signs of wear on the factory leather interior. All features work as the should, however the Navigation disc is missing. The books are present as well as one factory key. A/C is ice cold, heat is hot. Truck has been meticulously maintained and serviced at a Chevrolet Dealer. Excellent factory polished 20" wheels with Goodyear RS-As with good tread left.
This SS is equipped with just about every available option, including AWD, leather, moon roof, heated seats, Bose, navigation, tow package and more. The only aftermarket accessories are an upgraded alarm, WeatherTech fitted floor mats and WeatherTech door visors. Not many of these were built loaded like this one! This truck is a blast to drive. Ample power from the 6.0 V8 and a good ride with the uprated factory suspension...almost a Corvette for the family, especially with this trucks all weather capable AWD!
This SS is stored indoors on Long Island. If you would like to see the truck, please send a message through eBay. Any questions or anything I may have missed please send a message as well. The reserve is very reasonable, however, please do not ask me to disclose it. This SS is available locally as well, so I reserve the right to end the auction early if necessary. Selling this truck for a close friend who is meticulous in how he keeps his vehicles, and only selling to make room for a new addition. Truck will come with a new valid NYS inspection. Please take the time to review the pictures, and also my feedback here on eBay. Thank you for looking, and good luck!!

Watch NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon put one over on a used car dealer... sorta
Wed, 13 Mar 2013Full Disclosure: in my younger days, I loved nothing more than tormenting passengers with my behind-the-wheel hijinks. Once, after a particularly artful handbrake turn on a two-lane at around 50 miles per hour, I left one backseat occupant crying in their own lap. This isn't necessarily something to be proud of, but it gives you a glimpse into why it is that I find this ad from Pepsi so damn disappointing. The premise is beautiful. Take NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, give him a disguise and set him loose upon some unsuspecting used car dealer. Hilarity ensues.
Except that this Pepsi Max commercial is so obviously staged, it can't help but feel like some ham-fisted marketing fail. From the strategically placed aftermarket cupholder mounted mid-dash for the hidden camera to the fact that the supposed dealer Camaro is displayed as a 2009 model (Hint: Chevrolet didn't make any), this clip is about as organic as a Twinkie. Still, we would never turn down a chance to watch Gordon thrash on a rental-spec coupe - only problem is, he probably didn't even do the driving himself. Check it out below.
Why the Corvette is Chevrolet's billion-dollar baby
Thu, 28 Feb 2013Edmunds has worked up a piece that tries to figure out just how much the global Chevrolet Corvette economy is worth, a spitballed guesstimate putting the number at more than $2.5 billion with the proviso that the number is probably low. It starts by taking Corvette's new car sales of 14,132 units last year, which would equate to $714,725,900 (including destination) assuming ever car sold was a base coupe with no options. In the final tally, a little extra padding gets that number up to $750,000,000.
But that's not all. Consider this: Many of the almost 1.4 million Corvettes produced over the model's history are still on the road. There are new parts being produced and aftermarket companies like Mid-America Motorworks deaing business, that single Illinois company doing more than $40 million a year in sales. There are the Corvette events large and small, restorers who do nothing but Corvettes, salvage yards that deal only in used Corvette parts and the Corvette magazines where owners find all this stuff.
And then there are the Corvette-themed tchotchkes, every single one of which provides a tiny contribution to the huge licensing royalties that General Motors collects every year. The article admits there's no way to come to an accurate number, but it just goes to show how valuable one specific model can be to a company.
Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine
Fri, 08 Mar 2013Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.
