You are bidding on a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer LS 4x4. I am the second owner but purchased the vehicle with only 15,308 miles on it. The miles are high but are mostly highway miles as my wife drove it to and from work 90 miles round trip daily on 4 lane highway. The vehicle is in very good condition. The tires Hankook tires and are almost new with very few miles on them. The car has been serviced regularly by Valvoline Instant Oil Change,oil changes typically done at 3000 miles. I recently replaced the air conditioning compressor and it is good and cold. I also recently replaced a universal joint and the water pump. There are no other mechanical problems with the vehicle that I know of. The interior is in excellent shape. There are no tears, stains strange smells or burns in the seats as it has never been exposed to cigaret smoking. The carpet shows some minor fading. The vehicle is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction if it sells locally. Thanks and happy bidding!!!

2014 Chevrolet Malibu gets more torque, more room and inspiration from the Impala

The 2014 Chevrolet Malibu, having stared at the Impala across the showroom floor for a year, gets nips and tucks all over inspired by its larger brother. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder in the base car will get a stop-start system and 23 city miles per gallon, 35 highway, each number representing a one-mpg improvement over the 2013 car. Output is 196 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque.
Opt for the 2.0-liter turbo and, while power holds steady at 259 hp, torque goes up by 14 percent to a striking 295 lb-ft (a figure Chevy calls best in the class). The final details include newly programmed transmission shift points and faster shifts, for better engaging and enjoying the added power.
Looks-wise, the grille's been reshaped to be more in line with the new Chevrolet look, a narrower upper grille hovering over a larger lower grille.

General Motors shaking up its marketing... again

One of the things that dogs the full comeback of General Motors is the instability of its marketing. That part of the automaker got yet another big shakeup today when GM confirmed what I have been tweeting for a few days - strong rumors that the Chevrolet and Cadillac ad accounts are walking to new ad agencies.
Cadillac, GM's luxury brand, is going into review from Fallon Worldwide, Minneapolis and the indications are that Campbell-Ewald, Chevy's old ad shop, will end up with most or all of it. C-E just announced that it was moving from its long-time home in Warren, MI to a new downtown Detroit office next to Ford Field, just blocks from GM.
The other shoe to drop shortly will be the shift of GM's most important brand, Chevy, from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners of San Francisco to McCann-Erickson of Troy, MI. McCann used to be the agency for Buick and GMC, as well as GM's corporate advertising, and has retained some pieces of business over the last few years. Sources have even told us that it was McCann that did a lot of the creative work on Chevy's new ad platform, Find New Roads. (Not to be confused with a former McCann tagline for Saab, "Find Your Own Road.")
