2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer Ls Sport Utility 4-door 4.2l on 2040-cars
Bowling Green, Kentucky, United States
2003 Chevy Trailblazer LS, 6 cyl, 4x4, 186,000 miles, one owner, new brakes, well maintained-followed recommended factory service schedule, Yakima Bike Rack System available.
I bought the Trailblazer new in August of 2003 in Upstate New York. It is a 4x4 LS regular wheel base with option package 1, which has cruise, power door locks, power windows, remote key lock, and the body side moldings. From 8/2003 through 3/2006, it received all regular service from my small town Chevy dealer in NY. We moved to BG in 3/2006 and I started having oil changes at Sears and any other service at Campbell Chevy. In 9/2006 we bought a small pop up camper and it towed the camper from 9/2006 through the early 2010, so it is equipped with a electric brake controller and I have 2 different style hitches. Since 2008, I’ve been a regular customer at Tech Tune on Campbell Lane and they have done all of the service on the vehicle for the last 6 years. I’ve had the oil changed every 3 months and the use the synthetic blend High Mileage type. Since 2011 I have been driving it back and forth to work as my daily driver, which is a 70+ mile round trip. Recent service includes new rear brakes (rotors & calipers), tie rod end, and sway bar about a year ago. About a month ago it had new front brakes (rotors & calipers) and the other tie rod end along with the differential / transmission service plus fuel filter. I try to kept vehicles around 10 years and the needs of my family have changed, so I’m shopping for a new small SUV. It has small scratches and dings consistent with an 11 year old vehicle. The rear tires will need to be replaced in the next year, but are wearing evenly. The exhaust system has a rattle from a loose baffle in the muffler. |

Chevy SS prototype spotted wearing Pontiac G8 clothes
Tue, 28 Aug 2012
Do not adjust your computer screen, you are not seeing the rebirth of the Pontiac brand. General Motors has chosen to use a G8 to disguise a test mule for the latest prototype of the forthcoming Chevrolet SS. The G8 was closely related to the Holden Commodore and Vauxhall VXR, the platform upon which the new Chevrolet performance model will be based. It should come as little surprise, then, that GM has opted to use the cladding from the former G8.
Thought the front clip of this mule is pure Pontiac, note the vents immediately behind the front wheel. That is a distinctive design hallmark of the Vauxhall VXR. Also note that this vehicle is right-hand drive, as the Holden and its Chevy counterpart will be very closely related. That likely includes potential drivetrains. The spy photos of this mule also reveal very wide rear tires, and rear wheels that do not match the fronts.
Automakers score 8 out of top 20 most-watched ads on YouTube [w/videos]
Fri, 14 Dec 2012Who would have ever thought there'd be a day where people are able to skip television commercials only to go to websites to watch them later? Such is the joy of a DVR and YouTube. AdWeek tabulated the 20 most-watched ads on YouTube, and found that nine were car-related including eight coming from automakers.
Volkswagen continued its Star Wars theme with two ads in the top 20, including the highest-ranking car commercial The Bark Side spot at number three with almost 18 million views, which doesn't even have a single car in it. Some of our favorites are from Chrysler with Clint Eastwood in It's Halftime in America and House Arrest with Charlie Sheen for the Fiat 500 Abarth. Chevrolet, Honda, Audi and Toyota were the other automakers in the top 20, but we'd be remiss if we didn't at least mention one of the coolest ads on the list, the Hot Wheels corkscrew jump.
Of all the car videos, only the Fiat ad wasn't played during a Super Bowl. Check out all eight videos - in order - after the jump. Nike took the top spot with its My Time is Now ad that has been seen online more than 20 million times with Pepsi's Uncle Drew posted up in the runner-up; some of the other videos include four Old Spice commercials and an ad in which Snoop Dogg is pedaling Hot Pockets.
Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
