This is a very nice non- smoker 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe LT that I have owned since 2005. The car is equipped with front and rear air conditioners, Bose stereo/CD, third row seating, heated front seats, power adjustable pedals, power front seats and the towing package.

The car has never been in any accidents not had paintwork of any kind. All maintenance has been done on a regular basis. The intake manifold gasket ( a major job) and all belts and hoses were just replaced. The engine and transmission are strong and all of the electrics work. Both  the front and rear ac units blow ice cold. The truck has a nice set of aluminum wheels and four  very good matching BF Goodrich tires.

This is good, reliable truck that has lots of life left. There are a few very minor scratches, door dings and windshield pecks  ( repaired) that are typical of any vehicle of this age. That being said, this truck is in much better shape than most .

The car is being sold as is, where is, FOB Houston, Texas.  There is no warranty expressed or implied. You are welcome to inspect the car or have it inspected, but please do so BEFORE bidding.

I am still driving the vehicle from time to time, so the mileage may be slightly higher at the time of the sale.

A $500 deposit is due within 24 hours of a successful bid. The balance is due within 48 hours of auction close. You may use PayPal for the deposit, but cash or a cashier’s check are the only acceptable forms of payment  for the balance.

Thank you for your interest.

For some reason, "FLEX" is showing up under the specs for fuel type . This is incorrect. This vehicle runs on gasoline only and is not suited for E85.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.

The 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan is for drivers who value performance above all else

Sat, 16 Feb 2013

The car you see above is the 2014 Chevrolet SS, and it's important both because it is the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from Chevy in 17 years, and because it will be the nameplate the brand uses on NASCAR tracks all across the country starting this year.
Though it wears a name as American as baseball and apple pie, the machine was actually designed and built in Australia, sharing most of its parts with the brand-new VF-model Holden Commodore. That said, the basic chassis bits are shared with other Chevrolet models like the Camaro and Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle.
While Chevrolet is happy to sell a Malibu or Impala to anyone looking for a mainstream family sedan, but the SS is reserved for buyers interested first and foremost in performance. Most sedans sold these days are front-wheel drive, which is great for everyday driving and when the weather goes bad, but the SS is instead a rear-wheel-drive vehicle aimed at enthusiasts who love to drive and who prefer speed and performance above all else.

GM warning 800,000 owners that their cars may need oil changes more frequently than they say

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

The days of changing your engine oil every 3,000 miles are long gone thanks to most cars having automatic oil monitoring systems, but about 800,000 General Motors vehicles apparently have incorrect monitoring software that is leading to premature engine component wear. According to Autoweek, certain 2010-2012 Buick LaCrosse, Regal, Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain models equipped with 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines could be going too long in between oil changes resulting in a higher-than-normal number of warranty claims for the engine's balance chain. The balance chain links the balance shaft to the crankshaft, and a worn one can produce higher noise levels.
As a fix, GM dealers will be reprogramming the software for the monitors in an effort to reduce the interval between oil changes, which varies based on driving habits and conditions. Through February 2015, the software update will be done at no cost to vehicle owners, but since this is not a recall, after that point, it will be up to the discretion of dealers as to whether or not they will charge for the service. What isn't immediately clear is whether GM plans on giving assistance to out-of-warranty customers who are experiencing engine issues from the worn chain.
