1998 Chevy Tahoe / Rare 2 Door on 2040-cars
Fayette, Ohio, United States
Up for auction is my 1998 Chevy Tahoe. I have owned this vehicle since December of 2006. I purchased the truck with 93,288 miles, it now has 126,522. Thats a little over 4000 mile a year. It has always been a second vehicle or "go away" vehicle. Its been a great truck for me with almost no issues. I had searched for a few years to find a 2 door model Tahoe, because of their rarity, it was hard to find one I approved of. I am picky and meticulous with condition and maintenance. I truly hate to see it go but I need a pickup truck more than a SUV. It has always been taken very well care of. I only run mobil 1 oil and mobil 1 filters since i have purchased it. The Tahoe is pretty much stock other than an aftermarket cd player and a Airraid cold air intake kit. I do have the original air box / filter assembly to go with it. These are very desirable and hard to find in this condition. There is one scratch on the drivers side top fender/hood. It is a smaller scratch but does bother me. Also drivers seat has a small tear/crack in the leather. Both are pictured. Also everything works as it should. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this truck anywhere. Any Questions feel free to message me.

GM recalling nearly 4,000 vehicles over airbag concerns
Thu, 31 Jan 2013Four different General Motors vehicles from the 2012 model year are being recalled over a potential airbag issue. The driver's side airbag shorting bar in the 2012 Buick Verano and 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic might make contact with the airbag terminals, even during a crash. If so, the airbag won't deploy when it should, possibly increasing injury to the driver.
The recall is expected to begin on February 13 for the 3,896 units that might be affected. GM will notify owners who can then take their vehicles to dealers to have the airbag coil replaced. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below has more info.
Tarantino's stolen Chevy Malibu from Pulp Fiction recovered after 19 years [w/video]
Mon, 29 Apr 2013Quentin Tarantino fans will likely remember Vincent Vega's cherry 1964 Chevrolet Malibu Convertible in Pulp Fiction. In a movie drenched in automotive references, the Malibu is very nearly a character in and of itself, and it serves as the subject of Vega's soliloquy about the kind of man who vandalizes another's automobile. It also happened to be Tarantino's personal car when the film was shot, and was apparently stolen shortly after production wrapped. Now police have located the car some 19 years later.
As it turns out, the thieves cloned the vehicle identification number from another '64 Malibu and had the car registered under the new digits. It was then sold to an unsuspecting buyer. Police happened upon the duplicate VINs while investigating another potential theft. Right now, it's unclear whether Tarantino has taken possession of the Chevrolet, if it has remained in the possession of the fraud victim, or whether it's caught somewhere in the gears of justice. Either way, you can catch Vega's memorable thoughts on the car keying in the Pulp Fiction clip below. But consider yourself warned: the video contains explicit language as Not Safe For Work as it comes.
