2006 Chevy Silverado LT1 2500HD Diesel Duramax 4WD EXT

Extra Clean - Well Maintained - One Owner – 114,000 miles

It would be a challenge to find a Diesel Duramax of this vintage in better condition.  Garaged its entire life this late 2006 model year production truck was purchased new in October, 2006 and owned since by Hall Motors, LLC (a small Classic Car and Specific Vehicle Procurement Dealer).  This truck has been driven by Hall Motors, LLC’s owner since new (although not as his only driver).  It is being sold as he no longer has the need for occasional cross country trailer towing.  As with any purchase from someone with a dealer's license, a Kansas purchaser would be charged sales tax and a 60 day temporary tag will be available.  Selected descriptive information -

Exterior – Summit White

Interior – Dark Charcoal

Selected Options (see original window sticker photo for all options) –

LT1 Decor (Dual Power Heated OSRV Mirrors, Tinted Glass, Power Locks, Remote Entry with Content Theft Alarm, ISRV Mirror w/Compass & Temperature, Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel)

Bug deflector

Bully Dog programmer (Performance – Factory, Economy/Towing, Power & Extreme settings; Tire Size)

Note regarding disclosed deer dings - The dings are pretty small and can't be seen with the enlarge/zoom function in the ad. They aren't something that's generally noticed unless you're looking for them, however,  I've added two pictures that show them as follows: two small horizontal "creases" (one toward the back of the passenger side back door and one at the rounded back of the passenger side cab), a small piece missing from the very rear of the passenger side molding and a small dent where the front of the wheel opening molding meets the passenger side bed.

Camaro spy shots show subtly different grille, front fascia

Sun, 03 Feb 2013

It looks like there some changes in store for the Chevrolet Camaro - the only thing is that we just don't know what Chevy has up its sleeve. Looking at these spy shots, we'd initially be inclined to think that there is just a minor facelift or a new special edition, but upon closer inspection, there are a few oddities about this car that definitely have us intrigued.
The most obvious difference on this prototype is the slightly restyled front fascia with a smaller lower air inlet and the two-bar grille. Then we get to some of the car's mysterious details. For starters, this fascia has the SS vent above the grille, but it looks to be blocked off. Granted this could just be a one-off piece used for testing. What really piqued our interest was at the rear of the car where it has quad exhaust outlets that are used on the ZL1. Could this be the LS7-powered Camaro that we reported on back in December?
At this point, your guess is as good as ours as to what we're looking at here, so let us know in the comments what you think this could be.

Pics Aplenty: Meet the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra [w/poll]

Thu, 13 Dec 2012

Today was a pretty big day for General Motors, debuting the all-new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra light-duty pickup trucks ahead of their official showcase at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. And now that the dust has settled at GM's big reveal event, we've had a chance to snap dozens of photos of the new pickup pair from every angle.
We already told you the important bits earlier today (click here in case you missed it), but let's recap. Under the hood are three new engines - a 4.3-liter V6, 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 (you know, a version of the small-block that'll also be found under the hood of the C7 Corvette), all mated to six-speed automatic transmissions. The 2014 model year marks the return of the Z71 off-road package with Rancho shocks, front tow hooks and beefier underbody protection. Inside, there's a host of new technology and a greater focus on better quality and refinement.
Some of the nitty-gritty specifics (like engine output numbers and fuel economy) have yet to be revealed, and since we haven't driven the finished products yet, it's hard to say how these trucks will fare against rivals like the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150. For now, we can only judge these two books by their covers, and while we do like the designs of the new trucks, we Autoblog staffers are torn on exactly which one looks best.

GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect

2010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
