West Henrietta, New York, United States

2004 CHEVY SILVERADO  2500 HD 2 WHEEL DRIVE CNG FUELED ONLY . This truck has a one owner title from the New York State Department of Transportation and was very well maintained . When I bought it last year the odometer read 35,000 miles but the speedometer was working intermittently I sent it out and it it repaired now , but the back of the title is marked odometer discrepancy from NYS , I think the actual miles are correct or very close but since they checked the box on the back of the title , as seen in the pic, I have to sell it with Odometer Discrepancy which means it may have more than 41,000 miles . .. I've driven the truck a few thousand miles and it runs and drives great . This is a factory built CNG truck ,not a conversion , it runs on CNG only. This truck is in great condition ,the 6 liter engine and Automatic transmission run great and have lots of power with no know problems, but has no warranty left on it and sold as is.. The body is great shape but does have small scratches and a couple small dents  and some residue where the decals were as shown in pictures . The tires are in good condition the rear tires have more tread than the front. The interior is in very good condition but does have a  small tears in the drivers seat as seen in pictures. The A/C is cold. It is in very good condition but not brand new so expect normal wear for the age and miles and it is from upstate New York so some surface rust underneath is normal. If you have any questions or would like to see the truck call me, Joe at National Truck Brokers Inc  585-943-1132. Buyers from New York state will have to pay sales tax on the winning bid .Out of state buyers will be responsible for sales tax in your state when you register it. We can get an in transit permit from NYS DMV for out of state buyers with proper ID and insurance, so you can drive it home . Buyer is responsible for pick up or arranging shipping we will help anyway we can.  We are 10 minutes from the  Rochester NY airport and bus and train stations and be will pick the winning bidder up. It will be full of Cng when you pick it up (will go about 200 miles per fill up) , check on CNG stations to get it home. I don't have a buy it now price on it, I am going to sell it to the highest bidder ,so if you can use it ,bid on it you won't be disappointed .

Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th

Tue, 15 Apr 2014

It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.

800k car names trademarked globally, suddenly alphanumerics seem reasonable

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

What's in a name? This cliched phrase probably gets tossed out at every marketing meeting that happens when a new car gets its nomenclature. We know the answer, though: everything. The name of a car has all the potential to make or break it with fickle customers that are more conscious than ever about what their purchases say about them.
That's giving headaches to marketing folks across the automotive industry. "It's tough. In 1985 there were about 75,000 names trademarked in the automotive space. Today there are 800,000," Chevrolet's head of marketing, Russ Clark, told Automotive News. Infiniti's president, Johan de Nysschen, echoed Clark's sentiment, saying, "The truth of the matter is, across the world, there is hardly a name or a letter that hasn't already been claimed by one car manufacturer or another. You can go through the alphabet - A, B, C and so forth - and you will quickly see that almost all available letters are taken."
What has that left automakers to do? Get creative. In the case of Infiniti, it made the controversial move to bring all of its cars' names into a new scheme, classifying them as Q#0 for cars and QX#0 for SUVs and crossovers. So the Infiniti G, which was available as the G25 and G37, is now the Q50. The FX37 and FX50 are now the QX70.

Chevy might've pulled out of NASCAR if it weren't for new Gen 6 car

Wed, 20 Feb 2013

We've been on the fence with NASCAR for some time now. On one hand, it's some of the closest racing anywhere in motorsports, with actual passing and door-handle-to-door-handle action as a matter of course. But on the other, it's become template racing - a personality-driven sport more about the drivers than any sort of loyalty to a particular automaker. The Car Of Tomorrow format really rammed that message home, with a racecar's identity coming down to little more than headlamp stickers slapped on the nose. That's not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself, but we've wondered for some time what's in it for the automakers, who pay big money to stay in a series that has had little increasingly little do with street car sales, let alone innovation.
Apparently General Motors was beginning to wonder the same thing. In a new ESPN report, Rick Hendrick, team owner of Hendrick Motorsports, suggests that GM would have seriously considered leaving NASCAR if it wasn't for the move away from the COT to the new Gen 6 racer. According to Hendrick, GM North America boss Mark Reuss spearheaded the charge away from the 2007 COT and toward a racecar with clearer automaker ties - cars like the new Chevrolet SS racer shown above. Learn more about the fight for a closer-to-production look in the ESPN story at the link.
Now, if we could just get more rear-wheel drive V8 coupes into showrooms....
