I PURCHASED THIS TRUCK LAST YEAR . IT IS A 4X4 EXT. CAB WITH LEATHER.I WENT THROUGH THE TRUCK . I HAD FACTORY ROCKERS CUT OUT AND PUT ON. NEW REAR BRAKE LINES,NEW BATTERIES AND NEW INJECTORS DONE A MONTH AGO . THE TIRES ARE IN GREAT SHAPE. I USE THIS TRUCK 1 TIME A WEEK TO HAUL ABOUT TEN MOTORCYCLES TO CONN. ITS A 5 HOUR TRIP . I USED IT TO HAUL MY MINI EXCAVATOR LAST WEEK. THE TRUCK RUNS AND DRIVES PERFECT. I REALY WOULD DRIVE IT ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES. I AM SELLING BECAUSE I NEED A CREW CAB TRUCK AND THE TRUCK RECENTLY LOSING PRIME ON FUEL LINE. I DO STILL DRIVE THE TRUCK!!!! AFTER ABOUT 6 HOURS I HAVE TO GO UNDER HOOD AND PUMP THE PRIMER BUTTON ABOUT TEN TIMES. ONCE IT FIRES UP IT RUNS FINE AND DRIVES LIKE NEW, IT IS JUST IF IT SITS A BUNCH OF HOURS IT LOSES PRIME. I DID NOTICE THAT FUEL COOLER UNDER MIDDLE OF TRUCK HAS A LEAK. I HAVE HAD THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COME ON BEFORE ,BUT THEN GOES OFF . LAST TIME I CHECKED IT SAID A GLOW PLUG. BUT I NEVER WAIT FOR THE GLOW PLUG LIGHT , I ALWAYS FORGET. I TOOK A PIC OF TITLE IT SAYS MILES EXEMPT VEHICLE OVER TEN YEARS OLD. I HAVE TRIED TO DESCRIBE THIS THE BEST I CAN. Chevy Corvette Stingray picks up another award, this time from Automobile
Mon, 18 Nov 2013The new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has picked up another buff book accolade after capturing Road and Track's Performance Car of the Year award. The seventh-generation of America's sports car (sorry Viper, Mustang, et al.) has been named Automobile Magazine's Automobile of the Year.
Automobile's award to the Corvette over competitors is the mirror image of its rival Motor Trend, which named the Cadillac CTS its car of the year over the C7. The CTS was, according to the Automobile team, the closest contender to the mighty Stingray. Great news all around for General Motors it seems.
As for what pushed the Corvette past its distant, four-door cousin, Automobile commended its excellent, 6.2-liter V8 calling the car's performance "simply awesome" while also remarking that it is easier to drive fast than ever before thanks to steering and chassis tweaks. Following a theme set by other publications, there were also plaudits for the interior, of all things, with the buff book complimenting the car's ergonomics and material quality, while also praising the standard seats.

General Motors has released a new short video featuring Kirk Bennion of the Corvette's exterior design team, talking about the challenges of sculpting Chevrolet's new flagship sports car and the five goals the team had to keep in mind as it worked. In the end, Bennion's team had the pleasure of seeing their hard work take center stage as the Corvette captured the world's eyes at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
Next Corvette ZR1 to get 700 horsepower?
Tue, 19 Feb 2013Word has it General Motors may offer as much as 700 horsepower in the C7 Corvette ZR1. Motor Trend reports the next Corvette Z06 will continue to rely on its naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V8 engine for thrust, but the lump will deliver substantially more power. How much more? MT says the engine could deliver up to 600 ponies. That's a jump of 95 horsepower over the current Z06, though no figures have been finalized as of yet. Right now, GM is reportedly waiting to see what sort of grunt it can glean from the next ZR1.
The automaker has already made it clear it will resurrect the LT5 name for the new supercharged V8, and if GM is already pulling 600 from the Z06, the big dog ZR1 would theoretically offer 700 horsepower. Either way, the range-topping Corvette will be suitably insulated from its less potent siblings. Stay tuned. We aren't likely to see the Z06 for at least a year, with the ZR1 trailing along at some point there after.
