Looking to unload my White 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD.

First the good:
Good strong motor and transmission
Nice interior, Very comfortable / Updated dash to accept 2003 dash bezel to use 2Din Radio.. IMO Looks like it was done professionally.
A/C blows ice cold and has no issues beating the the Gulf Coast summer days.
GPS capable touchscreen radio w/ working DVD player, backup camera, & ready to accept your ipod / iphone.
Fiber glass bed cover.
Has towing package and it all works.

Now the bad.
It's around 190K miles. It's 80% highway miles but it is what it is.
It could use a simple low-end paint job as there are a couple spots on the hood that will need attention.
Chrome on grill is peeling which is normal for this age..
Bottom right and left corners of the acrylic cover on dash gauges has broken off. I'm thinking this should be an easy fix.

Someone backed into me in store parking lot and slightly bent the rear bumper on the drivers side. Bumper will need to be replaced but I don't think any significant damage has been done to the bed.

Note: When you buy I will make sure it is cleaned up before you take possession. Just had a fresh oil change and lube job 500 miles ago.

It's been a really good truck, I just have no use for it anymore and I don't want to see it deteriorate sitting in my driveway for months on end.

I will provide a Bill of Sale along with the title. Any notary work needed will need to be done in person when you take possession of the truck.

This vehicle will also be listed locally as well. I reserve the right to end the listing early if it sells before listing ends.

$500.00 deposit required. Remainder to be paid upon taking possession of the vehicle WITHIN 7 days of purchase commitment.

Cashiers Check, Money Order, or Cash in person only. No personal checks.

Please refrain from using a 3rd party to complete transactions.. I will only work directly with buyer. I apologize for any inconvenience.

If a 3rd party is required to take possession I must require that written and signed authorization be given. (Please note, this will interfere with Bill of Sale being notarized)

Who sold the most heavy-duty pickups in 2012? PickupTrucks.com investigates

Tue, 26 Feb 2013

Domestic manufacturers enjoyed a good year for heavy-duty pickup sales in 2012. PickupTrucks.com has taken a close look at exactly how those sales broke down between each manufacturer and between three-quarter and one-ton pickups. Ford sold some 67,786 F-250 Super Duty models last year with the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD falling just behind at 56,359 units. The Ram 2500 HD came in third at 41,918, while the GMC Sierra 2500 HD earned itself fourth place with 27,616 deliveries. While Ford held onto the top spot in the one-ton market, Ram easily nailed down second place by selling more 3500 HD models last year than General Motors sold Silverado 3500 HD and Sierra 3500 HD trucks combined.
So, did GM manage to sell more trucks than Ford with its two brands? Very nearly. Ford sold a total of 119,338 heavy-duty pickups to GM's 111,555. Ram, meanwhile, moved a distant 77,583. But perhaps more interesting is the diesel take rate in this segment. PickupTrucks.com says 80 percent of all domestic one-ton trucks roll from the dealer lot with a turbo-diesel under the hood. Head over to the site for a closer look at the breakdown.

Next-gen Chevy Cruze caught cruising in the cold

Wed, 13 Feb 2013

Spy photographers have caught what looks like the next-generation Chevrolet Cruze out on snow patrol. The camo could be tricking our eyes, but it look like it has an even tidier, more rounded front end and even lower fenders in relation to the top of the hood. And either a chunk of camo has been wedged between the side mirrors and the doors, or the mirrors are up for revision, too.
The door handles have been moved up the side of the car, leading the way to a rear end that grows a bit in length. If the rumors are true, the coming second-generation Cruze sits on the new D2XX platform that will replace the Delta and Theta platforms at General Motors. A global architecture, the Cruze will be the first to get it, but it will underpin everything from next Chevrolet Volt to the Equinox and could be responsible for 2.5 million units by 2018. The next Cruze is expected to begin production in GM's Lordstown, Ohio plant in the third quarter of 2014.

GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect

Tue, 17 Aug 2010

2010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
