Seller notes about the truck; First of all the only reason for selling is due to the amount of driving I do per
year and the previous owner did. The truck runs, drives, handles and looks like new. The 6.2 L Ecotec3 performs
flawlessly, while light on the gas the truck runs on 4 cylinders and the millisecond you give it a little more
pedal you have 420 hp at your disposal. The truck has plenty of pulling power and get up & go – very quick truck!
You get the best of both worlds, big power with better mpg than the 5.3 L. Power leather seats up front with heat,
leather folding seats in the rear folding up giving you plenty of room for storage. Heated steering wheel for the
cold MN winters – won’t buy a vehicle without it! Steering wheel controls, tilt/telescoping steering, multi
task computer screen on the dash, touch screen radio with navigation, satellite radio, back-up camera. Power
windows with one touch up & down, power folding mirrors for the tight spots. Remote start with Onstar phone app
which allows you to start your truck or lock un-lock your doors with your phone – service is good through 2019.
The truck needs nothing the interior is flawless and the exterior is well below normal wear – almost flawless.
The truck has a bed liner with a tonneau cover, step bars, 3.5” leveling kit, new tires, new condenser, new
radiator, ball joints were done last spring. With the Ecotec3 I get 17-19 mpg in the winter and 18-20 in the summer
– better than the 5.3 L

Experimental mid-engine XP-819 Corvette going up for auction

Sun, 17 Feb 2013 13:03:00 EST

It seems to be commonplace that when a new Corvette is in development, rumors swirl about a possible mid-engine layout. As is the case of Chevy's most recent C7 Corvette, these rumors never pan out.
In any case, the idea for a 'Vette with an engine mounted behind the driver can probably all be traced back to a single car, the 1964 XP-819 prototype. Built as an "engineering exercise" back in 1964, the prototype was designed with a rear-mounted engine. History tells us that the idea of a rear-engine Corvette fizzled, and the XP-819 was eventually cut up into pieces and stored at a shop in Daytona Beach, FL.
After sitting for untold years, a restoration project started on the car, and while it isn't yet fully completed, the current owner of the car, Mid America Motorworks, will have the car on display at the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance as a "driveable chassis" with hopes of having a fully completed car ready to bring to next year's show.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible headed for Geneva debut

Mon, 28 Jan 2013 17:29:00 EST

While most of the world is still coming down from all the hype surrounding the debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this month, we're already looking to the future. And according to Autoweek, the next chapter in the C7 story will unfold at the Geneva Motor Show in March. That's right, General Motors is reportedly using the Swiss stage as its venue to debut the Corvette Stingray convertible.
If this strikes you as odd, you aren't alone. After all, with a car that's such an American icon, we'd fully expect Chevrolet to unveil it here on our shores in either Chicago or New York. But according to Autoweek, GM is looking to boost export sales of its halo car, and since the C7 was engineered to compete with the world's best and brightest, showing it off in Geneva is somewhat of a smart move. What's more, those with sharp memories will recall that GM used the Geneva expo to debut the sixth-generation C6 Corvette convertible back in March 2004, so there's also a precedent.
Details surrounding the Corvette Stingray convertible are still slim, though we fully expect the 6.2-liter V8 and choice of either six-speed automatic or seven-speed manual transmissions to carry over unchanged. Prototypes spotted on the road showed the car fitted with a cloth convertible roof, as well.

GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect

The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
