Former work truck. Everything to do with the mechanical function of the truck is in good shape and been kept in good working order. Brand new Ball Joints and axle joints. Tires maybe have 20k miles on them roughly. Brakes are brand new all around as of fall 2012. new radio speakers. new parking break mechanisms, alternator is brand new, A/C is brand new or the compressor anyway, belts are new. Wired for trailer lights - plugs are new. Spark plugs, wires, distributor consumables have been recently replaced. Engine has been checked and in good working order i would recommend it be re-tuned at some point before too long, has a bit of a valve tick when idling but no issues other than that. Never had any transmission issues but fluid was drained and replaced about 20k miles ago... Was normal color.
Cosmetically the truck has a few issues, several minor dents and scratches, dent in front of hood, damaged tail gate, Rust issues on bottom of cab, cosmetics on interior - some are missing/broken including the door lock/unlock inserts, 3rd door on extended cab has to be opened from inside latch not side latch.
Has been used as a work truck to transport ultrasound machines and medical equipment for veterinary practices around the country. Most of the miles are highway miles but it has towed a trailer a couple of times. Has a trailer hitch with both balls and a wrench included.

GM profits threatened by glut of pickups
Wed, 05 Dec 2012Automotive News reports that General Motors may slash production or ramp up discounts in order to deal with an oversupply of pickup trucks. GM currently has more than double the standard supply of pickups, and the vehicles are threatening to dampen the automaker's profits for 2013. Typically, automakers try to sustain a 60- to 75-day supply of vehicles, but GM is currently loaded with a 139-day supply, as of last month. At the end of November, the automaker was sitting on 245,853 units.
The manufacturer says that it will adjust production accordingly before laying any incentives on the profitable pickups. Even so, there's some concern that the inventory swell could hurt the roll-out of the next-generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. GM actually began slowly stepping back production in August, but it's clear the company will take further action as it heads toward the end of the year and into the next. Analysts predict the automaker could reduce pickup manufacturing by nearly half in the first quarter of 2013.
That still may not be enough to keep GM from laying extra cash on the Silverado and GMC Sierra. While the company's incentive spending was down in November compared to the same month in 2011, both the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150 saw double-digit percentage increases in sales last month while the Silverado and Sierra numbers slid compared to a year prior. Incentive spending could help move more trucks and add some balance to the GM inventory surge.
GM recalls 8,500 Chevrolet Malibu models for rear suspension glitch
Mon, 04 Feb 2013According to a letter from General Motors to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, flaws in the build process of the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu have led to the recall of 8,519 cars. Units built between December 6, 2011 and January 15, 2013 may have been assembled with rear suspension cradles that had insufficient torque applied to certain bolts. That out-of-spec assembly could lead to issues ranging from slight noises to a loss of vehicle control.
The problem was first noticed in December of last year by a GM test fleet driver and eventually tracked back to the improperly torqued bolts on the suspension cradle assembled through July 2012 by a supplier located not too far from the Malibu's Detroit/Hamtramck Assembly Plant. Since an official NHTSA recall notice has not been issued yet, it isn't clear whether or not Detroit-built Malibus were the only ones affected (the 2013 Malibu is also built at GM's Fairfax Assembly Plant in Kansas City, Kansas). Dealers will fix the problem by inspecting vehicles for proper torque specs, retightening if not within specs and, in some cases, perform a rear-wheel alignment.
