Hi, my name is Tyler and I'm selling my 1997 chevy s10. The truck has 118,3xx original miles on it, and is an amazing strong running truck. Truck also has many extras; custom matalic gold paint, American racing rims, racing seats, two 10inch jl audio subs and amp and also pioneer cd player with ipod, usb, and aux hookups. Also has custom headlights, taillights and fog lights. The truck also has chrome grill and chrome front bumper, automatic day time running lights. The truck also has tunnel cover and rugged bed liner. The check engine light is on but has been on since 103,000 miles, had it into the shop and they cant find anything  wrong with it, I have since put 15,000 miles on it and nothing has gone wrong or needed replaced, just oil every 3,000mi. The only thing that needs replaced on the truck is the 2 back tires and AC needs recharged, the Kelly Blue Book value on the truck is over $4,000 and with the extras its well over $4,500, I'm only selling for $3,500 due to it needing the back tires. I'm selling because I'm moving and i need something smaller with 4 doors, otherwise i would not sell the truck and i honestly hate to see it go. This is a great truck runs very smooth shifts excellently, no problems from the engine at all and I know this truck still has a lot of life life still left in it. Thank you and if interested please call or text me; Tyler at (484) 663-1853

NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit

Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.

GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes

Mon, 01 Oct 2012

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.
While the list of affected cars and crossovers varies by state and model year, if you own any of these models and live in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, Oklahoma or Texas, be sure to check the official notice below for more details.
