This is a very clean and nice 1957 Chevrolet stepside pickup. Piece of plywood in the bed at present. Metal strips are intact and in good condition. They need to be painted and chromed. Has Pirelli (Scorpion) tires, ST235/75R15 , almost new condition, with Rally type rims.

Lines are clean and no dents, dings, or scratches to speak of. Has dual glass pack exhausts, but I do not know the manufacturer. Sounds very good. I, along with my son, switched out the Rochester carbueretor for a Holley 4-BBL. Entire unit needs to be sanded down, primed and painted and needs interior work. Has a new Dual radio in dash. Transmission is a three speed on the floor. All glass is intact without dings or breakage. Has a tow hitch installed.

My son passed away without being able to completely restore this little gem (which was his dream) and I need to sell it as I am not in good enough shape to do it justice. The truck is clear titled in my name and free and clear of any encumbrances or liens.

Race Recap: 2013 Indianapolis 500 better than Bollywood; all the emotion, none of the music [spoilers]

If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.

Corvette Stingray Convertible images mysteriously appear on web, so we add our own

It was inevitable that we'd see the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray topless at some point, but that didn't make us any less interested when a pair of supposedly leaked official images showed up on theautoinsiderblog.com last week. We posted them on our Facebook page, but held off reporting on them here until we could get a little more information.
Those images, which feature a dark red car on a sterile black studio background, supposedly first appeared on the website of diecast model maker Maisto. A Chevrolet spokesman has been reported saying that they are "not official images released by Chevrolet PR," which isn't a denial they're the real deal, but neither is it a confirmation.
Close examination of the photos suggest they could be official shots of the Corvette Stingray Convertible, and while some have doubted their authenticity due to a lack of vents (which were seen on the C7s that debuted in Detroit last week), it could be that the images are of a base model car without the Z51 package that doesn't require the extra venting and cooling.
