California Project Truck ,

Here is a  1964 Chevy " Classic " Pick Up truck with a rare step side bed . This is would be a very good start to your next  great restoration project or hot rod truck . As I said this is a southern California truck with solid body , just the usual rust spots on the lower sections of the doors as you can see from the pictures . The engine starts just fine but the truck can not be driven on the road , because breaks are not fully functional . So , is only possible move it on the lot very carefully . We just have cleaned the carburetor , the fuel tank , the radiator , put a good battery  and some gas in there , just to verify if the engine was starting . All the other  components has not been checked or inspected so we are selling the vehicle  AS-IS without any warranties  and if requested  the buyers will be responsible for any inspections only prior the sale or the action is closed  . Again the vehicle is sold AS-IS and as a project !! We can also arrange  some  transportation solutions to several locations , including international destinations assisting foreign buyers  with all the procedures to exports the vehicle out the country or we  will work with the shipper of your choice  . Arrangement and payment for shipping are a BUYER  responsibility . Here a few shipping quotes examples : New York $ 990,00 to 1,100.00 - Miami $ 800,00 - 900,00  - Houston $ 650,00 - 750,00 . International : Major European Ports $ 1.650,00 - 1,995.00 . Payment : A deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours of auction end through PayPal. The remainder is due within 7 days of auction end via cash, bank certified cashier’s check (which must clear before release) and wire tranfer . Please ask any and all questions (big or small) and study the pictures closely  prior to placing a single bid . I want no one "surprised" by anything .  Thanks for looking and happy bidding!!

Please remember you are bidding to buy. You're not bidding for a chance to come look at it and then decide whether you're buying or not. The winning bidder is the buyer. Also, it is sold AS-IS, with no warranty expressed or implied. Thanks again.

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit

Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.

GM sweetens military discount for Buick, Chevy and GMC

Sun, 06 Oct 2013

American servicemen and women interested in a new vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick or GMC now have a bit more incentive to head down to their local dealer, as General Motors has announced plans to improve its military discount program.
The new GM Military Discount Program offers eligible consumers a new Chevy, Buick or GMC at invoice pricing, which in some cases can take very large chunks out of a car's retail price. When factored in with other incentives, most of which are available with the Military Discount, the bargains are thick on the ground for members of the US armed forces.
GM's Retail Sales and Marketing Support general manager, Chuck Thomson, said, "GM has long supported the military and military families, and we hope this simplified and enhanced discount will show our appreciation for their service and help make it easier for them to own one of our great new vehicles." The program is open to all active duty and reserve members in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard, as well as veterans that have been out of the service for less than a year. Military retirees and their spouses are also eligible for the discount.

Chevrolet SS previewed by Holden VF Commodore SS V show car

Thu, 14 Feb 2013

It won't be long before we see the official, production-ready Chevrolet SS sedan (hint: it will be revealed this weekend). And to tide us over until all of the official details are released about the US-spec version, we have this: the Holden VF Commodore SS V show car, a performance-oriented brother to the Calais V that debuted earlier in the week.
What we really want to know about the SS V is what lies underhood, but General Motors' Australian arm is keeping that under wraps until the Chevy model breaks cover this weekend. Nevertheless, it's obvious that the SS V will be a serious performer, with all sorts of aggressive cues driving that home on the car's exterior. Take a look at those 20-inch billet aluminum wheels that hide big Brembo brake calipers up front, the sculpted hood and front fascia, the wide air intakes with LED running lights and the quad exhaust pipes out back. It's like the Pontiac G8 GXP never even left us.
Inside, there's a sporty-looking interior with aluminum accents that mix in with black leather and suede surfaces, all tied together in the middle with an eight-inch MyLink touchscreen infotainment system. It looks great, and again, while we don't know anything regarding powertrain details, it makes us oh-so happy to see a manual shifter smack dab in the middle of the center console.
