1958 Chevrolet Apache Pickup Small Block V8 Automatic 350 Transmission You are looking at a 1958 Chevy Apache pickup. This truck is in great shape. It looks and runs amazing. It has been changed over to a small block V8, 3-speed automatic transmission and a 12-bolt rear. The engine runs strong and has no knocks, lifter noise etc. Transmission shifts smooth. This is a Turn-Key driver . It rides great in town or on the road. All the glass is in good shape with no chips or cracks. Windows roll up and down as they should. Door handles work as they should. Doors are solid with minimal signs of age. (we have ordered new weather stripping for doors and windows which will be included). It has an aftermarket CD player and speakers. New carpet. New fuel tank. The bed is newer than the truck and looks great. The wood and stainless stripps are all there. The wood could be sanded and refinished (or flipped). Newer dual exhaust with stainless tips. Nice wheels with Baby-Moons and Rings. Windshield wipers work but are slow. Speedometer is not hooked up. Head lights, parking lights, brake lights all work. Brakes are good. This is a fun truck to drive. Very solid underneith as you can see in the pictures. There are some chips and scratches here and there in the paint as you would expect but overall it shows very well. You will not be disapointed in this vehicle. Pics Aplenty: Meet the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra [w/poll]
Thu, 13 Dec 2012Today was a pretty big day for General Motors, debuting the all-new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra light-duty pickup trucks ahead of their official showcase at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. And now that the dust has settled at GM's big reveal event, we've had a chance to snap dozens of photos of the new pickup pair from every angle.
We already told you the important bits earlier today (click here in case you missed it), but let's recap. Under the hood are three new engines - a 4.3-liter V6, 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 (you know, a version of the small-block that'll also be found under the hood of the C7 Corvette), all mated to six-speed automatic transmissions. The 2014 model year marks the return of the Z71 off-road package with Rancho shocks, front tow hooks and beefier underbody protection. Inside, there's a host of new technology and a greater focus on better quality and refinement.
Some of the nitty-gritty specifics (like engine output numbers and fuel economy) have yet to be revealed, and since we haven't driven the finished products yet, it's hard to say how these trucks will fare against rivals like the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150. For now, we can only judge these two books by their covers, and while we do like the designs of the new trucks, we Autoblog staffers are torn on exactly which one looks best.

General Motors has released a new short video featuring Kirk Bennion of the Corvette's exterior design team, talking about the challenges of sculpting Chevrolet's new flagship sports car and the five goals the team had to keep in mind as it worked. In the end, Bennion's team had the pleasure of seeing their hard work take center stage as the Corvette captured the world's eyes at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.

Thu, 28 Feb 2013During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.
