1957 Chevrolet Custom Pickup, This has about 1000 hours of custom work done. Starting with the frame, the frame is boxed, there is a shorten curry rear, 4 link rear suspension all new. the front has a gm sub frame. This is all done professionally and is done right. The is a custom gas tank in the rear of the frame. The body has a lot custom done to it. it was all done in metal and is not far from paint. The whole front end is custom, the hood is custom, with a scoop welded in it.The is a custom header panel that is is front of the hood that connects the fenders. The front fenders is set up for square headlamps, and the front grill opening is shorten about 4" The cab is pretty much stock, the door handles are shaved, there is a antenna hole frenched in on the corner of the cab.. The bed is totally custom, started with a S10 bed, cut the sides out, for the stock 57 rear fenders that are cut to fit in place. It is a really nice job, it does not stick out,it flows with the sides of the truck. In the front of those fenders there is a custom step the has the cutouts for the exhaust. The back of the fenders are molded around to the back of the bed. The inside of the bed is tubbed and the gas filler is inside of the bed. The firewall is smooth out. The motor and trans that are in there is for mock up. There is a lot of work done to this truck it does need quite a bit of work to finish. Pretty much you see is what you get. There is a reasonable reserve, it is a fraction of what it would cost to build it to this point. If you do not have feedback please email me before bidding.

NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.

Chevy SS prototype spotted wearing Pontiac G8 clothes

Tue, 28 Aug 2012

Do not adjust your computer screen, you are not seeing the rebirth of the Pontiac brand. General Motors has chosen to use a G8 to disguise a test mule for the latest prototype of the forthcoming Chevrolet SS. The G8 was closely related to the Holden Commodore and Vauxhall VXR, the platform upon which the new Chevrolet performance model will be based. It should come as little surprise, then, that GM has opted to use the cladding from the former G8.
Thought the front clip of this mule is pure Pontiac, note the vents immediately behind the front wheel. That is a distinctive design hallmark of the Vauxhall VXR. Also note that this vehicle is right-hand drive, as the Holden and its Chevy counterpart will be very closely related. That likely includes potential drivetrains. The spy photos of this mule also reveal very wide rear tires, and rear wheels that do not match the fronts.

GM won't sell 2014 Chevrolet SS in Canada

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

Allow us to be the first to extend our condolences to our friends to the north. General Motors has announced the 2014 Chevrolet SS will not be available in Canada. The Globe and Mail reports the automaker has confirmed the high-performance sedan won't hit Canadian dealers, though GM hasn't offered up any reasoning as to why that is.
Buyers here in the US of A, meanwhile, can look forward to getting their hands on the 415-horspower, rear-wheel drive SS by late summer. Something tells us it won't be long after that before Canadian officials start seeing individually imported 6.2-liter V8 four-doors in their neighborhoods. Fortunately, Canadian buyers will still be able to take home the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. The C7 bowed at the Canadian International Auto Show last week, reportedly drawing sizable crowds and interest.
