1955.1 Chevrolet Truck Napco

This truck was fully loaded with the first year for electric wipers, and then it had chrome grill, radio, heater, five window cap, and with napco four wheel drive. I only know of one other half ton napco in the early series trucks if anyone else knows of one I would like to hear about it. I have pictures of it when it was in Wyoming with a home made camper shell on it, and the underneath pictures, and I will include a few of these pictures in the ad. The other pictures were taken a few years ago, and it still looks the same as I have it in dry storage, and will try to get it out, and take a few more pictures of it later this week. I bought this truck out of Wyoming in 2008 where the owners family was selling it, and the open title that I have is in his daughters name. He was a prospector, and I got a pamphlet out of the truck on staking a mining claim on federal lands along with some other papers with his name, and address on it. The truck has one small rust spot in front of the passenger door in the bottom of the cab post not bad at all. The cab floors are solid, doors open and close as they should, hood, and bed are solid. The fenders have there share of dents in them, and I was just going to find better ones for it. I tried to crank it one time, and got it to hit, but haven't tried since because I was going to do a frame off restoration on it anyway. I'm missing the other headlight ring as I gave it to my brother for a rat rod project he was doing, because I was just going to buy new ones for it anyway. I have 5 rare half ton four wheel drive project trucks, and I just don't think I can finish all of them, and I reserve the right to end the auction early if I change my mind on selling it, because I know I will never find another one like this. I have no buy it now price, and please don't ask the reserve. I have a few parts that I bought for it over the years that I will offer to the buyer if it sells. If you have any questions you can email me with eBay

Thanks Terry

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible headed for Geneva debut

Mon, 28 Jan 2013

While most of the world is still coming down from all the hype surrounding the debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this month, we're already looking to the future. And according to Autoweek, the next chapter in the C7 story will unfold at the Geneva Motor Show in March. That's right, General Motors is reportedly using the Swiss stage as its venue to debut the Corvette Stingray convertible.
If this strikes you as odd, you aren't alone. After all, with a car that's such an American icon, we'd fully expect Chevrolet to unveil it here on our shores in either Chicago or New York. But according to Autoweek, GM is looking to boost export sales of its halo car, and since the C7 was engineered to compete with the world's best and brightest, showing it off in Geneva is somewhat of a smart move. What's more, those with sharp memories will recall that GM used the Geneva expo to debut the sixth-generation C6 Corvette convertible back in March 2004, so there's also a precedent.
Details surrounding the Corvette Stingray convertible are still slim, though we fully expect the 6.2-liter V8 and choice of either six-speed automatic or seven-speed manual transmissions to carry over unchanged. Prototypes spotted on the road showed the car fitted with a cloth convertible roof, as well.

Watch how Corvette Racing's new collision-avoidance radar system works

Fri, 22 Mar 2013

When it comes to technology used in racecars, we generally expect it to trickle down to production cars, not the other way around. Well, Pratt & Miller has developed a new rear-facing radar that operates in a similar fashion to what we're used to in modern blind spot detection systems, only it is also capable of tracking cars as they approach and relaying vital information to the driver via a large display screen.
The innovative radar system debuted at last weekend's 12 Hours of Sebring for Corvette Racing, and this system makes perfect sense for endurance races like this since the cars sometimes have to drive through the night and in poor weather conditions.
The radar can detect cars even with poor visibility, and uses easy-to-distinguish symbols for the driver to identify.
