Purchased cab/chassis from an individual in town and began disassembly and built 3 years ago, with friend. This truck was rebuilt from frame up, new brakes, springs, bolts/nuts, shocks, new gas tank under bed, all new brake and gas lines, new wiring harness and all new lighting (12 volt), new Brake/master cylinder, 1954 vintage engine and matching 4 speed floor std trans. New bed, fenders, running boards, grille, bumpers, electric wipers, heater, ipod stero w/in dash speakers, bronze tinted glass throughout, all new rubber seals and cab molding, 1 piece headliner and upholstered seat, new handles and cranks, Pro Picks bed (new) with optional height, hidden tailgate latches, new floor, new style front ball joints and steering arms, new shocks and new springs front and rear, kept original steering, everything else updated/new. New Cragar wheels and spyder caps and new 4" White wall bias tires. Cab is from 1949 truck, liked the 3 window vs. 5 window cab. Just put new Fulton Sun Visor on. No rust, practically everything is new. Truck built to look great at shows, town driving, not built for speed. Have extra new tire for spare. I am sure I am missing something that we did or put on truck but price what it costs for above parts and cost to build and you will see your getting a GREAT buy. GM recalls select Chevy Cruze, Sonic and Buick Verano models over airbag issue
Wed, 14 Nov 2012General Motors is recalling certain 2012 Buick Verano, Chevrolet Cruze and Sonic models due to a defect in the driver's airbag system. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag has a shorting bar which may contact two internal terminals. If that happens during a crash, the supplemental restraint may not deploy, increasing the risk of driver injury. The recall includes a total of 2,949 units.
GM will contact owners and replace the steering wheel airbag coil at no cost. At this point, it's unclear when the recall will begin, though owners may contact the automaker at 1-800-521-7300 for more information. You may also take a closer look at the full NHTSA notice below.

Next-gen GM SUVs caught wearing new boxy bodies [w/video]
Wed, 15 May 2013We recently drove the brand-new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and found it to be vastly improved compared to the outgoing model. And now that The General's pickup trucks have been squared away, it's time to focus our attention onto their passenger-friendly companions, the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon (above).
Our spy photographers have passed along a huge smattering of photos (and a video), showing the new SUVs out testing. Both the short- and long-wheelbase models were spied, and while the overall shape of the vehicles hasn't changed all that much, we expect the updates to be substantial. In addition to new powertrain options, like GM's new small-block V8, we expect the interiors of both SUVs to get massive makeovers, providing better materials throughout their cabins and quieter, more refined environments. We even hear that some trick new suspension developments may be in store for upper-end models.
Visually, these spy shots allow us to see a couple of new details on the SUVs' front and rear fascias, including LED running lamps on the Yukon and some interesting LED taillamp treatments. Of course, the obvious third party missing from this set of photos is the Cadillac Escalade, but as we reported earlier, GM is working to further differentiate the 'Slade from the rest of the fullsize SUV lineup, and is working to make the new model "much less ostentatious."
